Just back from the Harry Potter tour Mark was our driver excellent driver 10/10
But was disappointed that there wasn’t any wiFi on the coach the point to charge phones weren’t all working
It was a long journey especially going to the Cadbury world

Just back from the NC500 tour with a group of 6 friends and from start to finish it was amazing. Cant praise our driver danny enough he is a credit to tartan travel, professional, full of fun and knowledgeable, looked after us all from morning til night 😊we will be looking into another wee break soon just hope we'll meet up with Danny again. 😘

Just back from a Mystery Weekend with Caroline as our driver, best driver I have ever encountered on a coach tour. She drove efficiently and safely throughout our journey. she was definitely the hostess with mostess and beautiful with it, alongside Billy they made a great team. Me and my partner went on the Amsterdam mini cruise on the 15th - 17th July. It was a fabulous experience from start to finish. Just back from the Mystery Tour today !!! spent most of the time on the bus !! 7 pick ups before you start your tour , got to the hotel at 6 30pm dinner at 6 45pm , hotel was very clean and staff were really nice . Our bus driver was very pleasant to .
Little word of warning if your booking a Mystery tour only book it once as this company take you to the same hotel over and over again so it's wrongly advertised. More...

Just back from a 4 day break Based in the waterside hotel Peterhead …hotel was very good swimming pool… gym …sauna …
All the facilities available free of charge while staying in hotel staff very helpful and friendly hotel is quite remote but the trips put on by Tartan Travel each day we’re very good every day somewhere different

Just back from the Llandudno tour.It was fabulous from beginning to end.Excursions were fantastic,lots of beautiful places with amazing scenery. Gary the driver was excellent very friendly,made sure everyone was well looked after.Stayed at the Risboro hotel,could do with an update but they are working on it.Would definitely choose this hotel again as Food was lovely,it was clean and very friendly staff.We had the added bonus of a fantastic,fabulous show with dinner on our last night there with great people I met.Lots of laughter&new friends.Staff came on couch the morning we left to wish us well on our journey and thank us for staying with them.It’s a family run hotel and they do make it personal and welcoming for you.Would definitely recommend this tour and hotel 😊 More...

Completed the NC 500 trip on Sunday had the best time ever! The scenery was spectacular and our steering wheel attendant Danny, was just brilliant, very knowledgeable and had everyone involved! It truly was an epic journey! For anyone who wants to see more of our magnificent country I would highly recommend this coach trip you will not be disappointed! The hotels and meals were lovely too. amazing value for money just back yesterday from mystery tour it was brilliant saw some lovely places skipton then on to spend the night in bradford at jurys inn great hotel food was lovely breakfast was great then went on to bronte village and then elshott saw the original woolpack ther was so much on this tour cannot find fault with anything will be booking again great experience ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Hi there came back from NC 500 last Sunday, what an experience, fabulous views from the coach, great locations, and made even better by our driver Danny, made everybody feel welcome on board coach and kept us well informed about our locations, I would highly recommend this tour, this is my second tartan travel tour and it won't be my last thanks again.

We went on the trip to Aberdeenshire coast , Had a great time and Hotel staff ( Waterside hotel Peterhead) were brilliant.
Only thing was the trip was on Easter weekend and excursions to towns were to long free time as most shops were closed, Maybe cut short free time to view some lovely Castles that are nearby would be better.

NC500 trip was amazing. Scenery was spectacular and I can’t believe the distance we travelled and the places we packed in.
Danny, our driver was great, very knowledgeable and full of fun. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he made sure, especially for people who were travelling solo, that everyone was included.
The hotels could do with an upgrade, the standard wasn’t consistent in the rooms but overall ok. Food was good enough always something we could enjoy.
Overall a great experience and I will certainly book again More...

Just returned from a trip to York staying at the Wheatland Lodge Hotel. Can't wait to go back in August. Absolutely brilliant, couldn't fault the hotel or trip. John was truly professional and kept us up to date with everything although maybe he could polish up on his jokes. Seriously thanks John.

Wouldn’t ever use them again. Booked early then found they discounted the trip by £40 per person as they couldnt fill the seats …. don’t mind the odd £10 or soo discount but £40!! Each !! Their answer if you don’t like it just cancel and lose your deposit. The moral … wait til last minute More...

Home yesterday after and amazing trip with Tartan Travel to see the Northern Lights . Unfortunately lights did not show themselves , however this was a fantastic trip from the minute we stepped on the Coach , great people on coach being entertained by a great Driver Danny , ( this young man is a true entertainer ) who looked after us really well throughout , The Waterside Hotel , was great , James and his staff could not do enough for us ,and looked after us really well , Thank You Tartan Travel , excellent great value trip 👍

I learned the hard way there is a reason they are deliberately vague about travel times and itinerary, route and pickups as they use this to explain away complaints as these much longer journeys may make for a much more uncomfortable trip. Too few comfort breaks ( almost 4 hrs apart!) and don't assume because you did a trip previously that there will be similar journey time and breaks next time as Tartan Travel plan the journey to suit their needs, not their customers. Very poor service, completely ignoring disabled needs. If you go as a party of four, don't assume you will all be eating at the same table as they expect you to sit wherever there is a gap - i.e.at a table with strangers - as they expect to just pack you in wherever. Just back from the Birmingham primark trip, its not what I thought it would be
8hrs travelling for 2hrs 15mins shopping on the Saturday, arrived 3. 30pm then picked up at 5.45pm to be taken to hotel
Dropped back at primark on the Sunday at 10am, no shops opened till 11am then picked back up 1.30pm.( we wer told the day before we would get picked up at 3.45pm but this got brought forward for some reason)
2.5hrs shopping then 8hrs travelling again.
I spend longer in my local primark.
Wouldve been good if the drivers knew there was a fantastic market outside our hotel on the Sunday, but i managed 20mins at that, which was more than most of the bus who didn't know it was there.
The whole trip was a total shambles, the bus changes didn't go smoothly either, the last bus we changed on to the toilet was broken. Total waste of money, this was my 1st bus trip with tartan travel and I will never go on a bus trip again More...

Great trip away to Birmingham primark, driver Nino had us all laughing there and back! So glad we got him as a driver definitely due a wee Christmas bonus I think 💯😂 we were gutted with our hotel as wasn’t the best but at £99 you can’t really complain, plenty of time to do our shopping, will definitely use again and hoping for Nino as the driver next time 🇮🇹🤩

Northern lights tour -

So incredibly disappointed by this tour. Wasn’t even slightly as it was advertised. I fully accept that’s there’s every chance of you not getting to see the lights which is fully understandable and acceptable.
How this event was advertised though in comparison to reality was worlds apart.
Everything was rushed.
The search for the northern lights was a basic 15 min look on a beach cove taking pictures of the moon.
Except for eating and sleeping at the hotel your full trip is in the coach. So be prepared.

The hotel was perfectly acceptable, the food was fine too. I can’t fault the hotel at all. Everything else though is a complete waste of time, money and effort.
The times advertised were inaccurate, the tour was inaccurate, the drop off at st Andrew’s was just awful.
It’s unfortunate that I had to write I review like this but it’s even more unfortunate that myself and my party of 3 had to endure that trip at all.
Be warned folks and we’ll advised before booking this More...

Carol our driver was just amazing - she did everything she could to make our trip the best possible
The bus broke down on the way back but it didn’t dampen the trip
For £99 DB&B and return trip to Birmingham such vale for money
Wee brucie bonus was the Sunday market right outside our hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4of us paid £79 to see the Northern lights tour
what an absolute farce, on the bus from 11.30 to arrive at the hotel at 5. 15 for dinner, then back out on bus for another 1.30 mins then off the bus for 15 mins- yes 15 mins is your tour folks ( In the rain and clouds ) to be put back on the bus for another hour 15 mins to go to hotel
15 min tour is what yous are paying for total rip off 15 mins to look fir the Northern lights, total JOKE

Just returned today after overnight trip to search for The Northern Lights,
fabulous trip - Danny the coach driver was fantastic an absolute credit to the company.
hotel and staff superb, great food, service and our room was spotless and very spacious.
on journey home Danny kept us all entertained and was a great laugh.
would recommend Tartan Travel and will definitely be booking again in the new year.
