What do you love most about your job?
I was horse and dog mad from a very young age. Our family dog was a big hearted Alsatian called Prince. A constant companion throughout my younger years.
I cannot remember a time when I was not passionate about the welfare and wellbeing of all our four legged friends. This passion led to me working with both horses and dogs and to this day, it still gives me a lot of joy.
So here I am today, the proud owner of two Sheepdogs. With over thirty years experience behind me, Ohh… I am not sure I like the sound of that : ), Having worked for Barking Mad Dog Care as a Mobile Dog Groomer, at NVQ Level 3, for a number of years, I loved every minute. after being made redundant, I have now decided to set up on my own. So if you would like your dog groomed or have an unruly four legged friend, please contact me, I would be delighted to help.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I realised I could share my experiences to help other people and their pets thoroughly enjoy each others company .A Trained Dog is a Happy Dog. A dog who knows his boundaries feels secure, safe and more relaxed. Owning a dog should be fun and rewarding for all the family. When your dog respects the house rules it creates a happier, more harmonious home life for everyone involved.
It is a fact, a well groomed dog is given more oppotunity to participate more with family life. A well groomed dog feels better and is healthier. I provide a high quality grooming service for your dog, one which, makes them feel as happy as they make you feel!

We pride ourselves in catering for all breeds, temperaments and requirements. From elderly dogs to puppies requiring their first trim.
The welfare and happiness of your pet is of the highest importance. We want them to enjoy their time with us as much as we want you to enjoy them looking and smelling their best after their visit.
Experienced in the grooming, trimming and handstripping of all breeds of dogs. I started grooming dogs many years ago, turning out Show Dogs at all the Major Championship Shows, including Crufts.
More recently, I spent four years working as a Mobile Dog Groomer. I am now based at South Lakes Dog Day Care & Boarding Kennels, Backbarrow, Newby Bridge, LA12 8PX.
Dog Training
Building a good relationship with your dog may not happen overnight but done correctly, the bond you develop will last a lifetime. And you will both benefit enormously.
Dogs are incredibly obliging, infinitely patient and put up with intolerable situations for very little reward. They do their best to adapt to our individual lifestyles. For an animal with boundless energy and an active, enquiring mind this cannot be easy.
So we must remember a friendship has to work both ways. In return for his loyalty we must keep our side of the bargain and provide him with shelter, clean drinking water, adequate food to keep him healthy and plenty of exercise. Do this for your dog and he really will be your best friend. And you will carry this with you for a lifetime.
