Goes the extra mile for certain favoured clients but not others, so after the groom your dog may have cute photos, a bandana and be fawned over or they may just shove them into a waiting pen.
Charges the same for everyone though
After finding this out, and realising that despite three years of paying a very large amount of money every five weeks or so, my sweet girl fell into the latter camp, I was deeply saddened.
Also, it made me wonder how much of this attitude and lack of care was applied to the actual grooms themselves.
After querying it, the owner, instead of taking responsibility for the situation went with the ‘I’m sorry you’re upset’ route, and ‘I only wanted to spread some joy’ nonsense.
Unsure from where she thought I would find joy in other people’s dogs being granted a significantly superior service to the one afforded to mine!
Then, probably realising she was loosing a regular and reliable client’s ££££, asked me for photos (as she only had a couple from the very first puppy groom years ago after which she didn’t want to take any more for some reason) so she could photoshop some pictures of my dog to make up for it!!! What?!… WHAT!?
Once recommended a treatment for an issue she had known about for years AFTER a regular groom so I had to make another appointment which cost £40. If she had recommended before the groom so it could’ve been incorporated, it would have cost £10.
All the extras such as the balms and flea treatments can be sourced for less elsewhere so don’t be pressured into buying any until you do your research.

Good service, even with our little cocker who is shy and can nip-they didn't even need a muzzle. We've used tails at least four times a year for the last couple of years and we don't intend to change anytime soon!

I wanted to find a good doggroomer.Saw the great reviews on Tails l 1st took my Affieanian who came back amazing and smelling great something that ld never noticed from the place ld take for years!
Then my 2 puppies they had quite long hair and when collected them
I was so pleased Alyson was so caring and
Good with them . Then my lovey mother of the 2 puppies she's not easy as when leave her she's very noisy
.but again Alyson was amazing with her and the difference was grt plus she had a mud bath. Her coat was lovely. Thank you Tails lve found my New dogroomers

I have brought my Staffordshire Terrier, Roxi, here twice now. Both times I've picked her up she has been very happy and she always comes back looking and smelling so much better. The staff are very friendly and always let me know how she was and even put into consideration that she can be timid around the blow dryer and dry her with a town instead.
