Our daughter has been having in person and now online tutoring sessions for about a year now mainly focusing on English. She has really enjoyed the sessions and has made excellent progress in them. What do you love most about your job?
I have always been fascinated by teaching, telling my Dad as I grew up "No, Daddy - I'm going to be a teacher not a princess!" As my career has progressed I have only fallen in love with it more and more. I am particularly passionate about the value of private tuition as it really allows you to support the child to make outstanding progress in their core maths and English learning and offer vital 11+ coaching to enable children to reach their full potential. I previously taught in solely OFSTED outstanding primary schools, giving me invaluable experience. Prior to this, I gained my Primary PGCE from The University of Cambridge and a first-class BA in Educational Studies from The University of York. I pride myself on making learning fun and enjoyable for children.
What inspired you to start your own business?
T W Tutors LTD gifts our teachers with the freedom to do what they do best, in their own unique way which in turn supports our children to make outstanding progress in confidence, self-esteem and educational attainment. Our wonderful teachers have the pedagogical freedom to be confident in showcasing their own individual teaching flair. This positivity and creativity filters down to our children who, through the wonderful relationships they create with our teachers, make accelerated educational progress.

Private tuition has such a huge power to ensure that children make outstanding progress in their chosen subject. This progress is key to developing confidence, improving exam grades and preparing children for the next stage in their educational journey. We strongly believe that one-to-one time and attention working on core understanding has a huge impact on a child's development. We know that encouragement and self-confidence in the core subject areas can help to ensure that the child will reach their full potential. At the heart of our ethos is the importance of building strong relationships with our children to make sure that they feel safe to make mistakes and that they feel secure to enjoy their learning. All of our teachers are incredibly passionate about teaching and learning and love being able to support your little ones in reaching their full potential.

All of our services are carried out online using a range of programmes including Zoom, Google Classroom and Google Jamboard. All of our clients also receive their own personal login to an online educational programme which can be used as much or as little as suits your family. It includes short, interactive quizzes for all primary and most secondary school subjects too.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All of our teaching and learning is carried out online to ensure complete safety for children and teachers. It also ensures continuity and routine for our children, should any COVID-19 rules change.
Primary Maths
One-to-one online private tuition - £30 per hour (highly skilled tutor) or £40 per hour (fully qualified teacher).
From learning to count to 10 in Reception to fractions and decimals in Year 6, Primary maths provides our children with their core mathematical capability needed for later life. Our service will help you to feel secure that your child has a deep and broad understanding in these key concepts.
Primary English
One-to-one online private tuition - £30 per hour (highly skilled tutor) or £40 per hour (fully qualified teacher).
Whether it's phonics, spelling, punctuation, grammar, reading or writing, T W Tutors LTD can help. We can provide that little support needed to really help your child reach that next level. One-to-one support in reading and writing can be of huge benefit to your child's development in this incredibly important aspect of learning.
11+ Preparation
One-to-one online private tuition - £30 per hour (highly skilled tutor) or £40 per hour (fully qualified teacher).
We also offer a service tailored more closely to preparing children for their 11+ in order to maximise your child's chances of success. In addition to working on the maths, English, verbal and nonverbal reasoning needed for these tests, these sessions allow children more time to gain familiarity with the types of questions within the 11+ and also develop techniques to ensure your child achieves highly. Incredibly invaluable to increase your child's confidence and reduce the pressure that sitting the 11+ unprepared may cause.
Online learning programme - £15 per hour (fully qualified teacher).
Alongside this 1:1 private tuition, we also offer an online learning programme for the 11+ which includes 30 minutes of pre-recorded teaching input from a fully qualified teacher and 30 minutes of educational activities.
Secondary English
One-to-one online private tuition - £45 per hour
From year 7 to A-Level and everything in between, we cover everything your child will need to know for the exam they are working towards. Our tutors are skilled in supporting self-esteem and confidence to ensure maximum educational progress.
