I am a qualified personal trainer specializing in 1-1 sessions in residential gyms. I have over 5 years gym experience including 2 years residential personal training.

Residential gyms are great but without the correct motivation and guidance they can be counter productive.

Really pleased I went with Van as a personal trainer. He has been great to work with, pushing me hard but keeping the training so much motivating and fun. Now I'm starting to feel and see the results which is the best feeling in the world if you have been used to feeling down about your fitness and physique. I've had stints with other personal trainers but felt like they had a one size fits all strategy whereas with Swan training, Van actually took the time and effort to find out about me, my challenges and goals and worked his training around that. Some clients like to set goals, but my training style is more focused on bodybuilding. I've set goals for myself in the past but it can lead to injuries and dissapointment. Strength levels can change depending on frequency and low energy so trying to reach strength goals can be hard. Instead i like to push my clients past there maximum in different ways to fully exhaust there muscles in strength but mainly endurance/cardio.This will produce maximum growth/toning and some weightloss. I will teach my clients to stop weighing themselves everyday and enjoying working out and see the benefits in the mirror. looking good and feeling good not counting calories and numbers chasing.

Seeing my clients become self motivated, transforming there bodies and increasing there strength and endurance levels.

Having transformed my own body within two years, i wanted to share my knowledge with other people in similar situations wanting to improve their fitness or loose weight.

Having transformed my body in the last 2 years, become a qualified personal trainer and being over the age of 40, I have experienced and overcome many hurdles in myself physically and mentally to pursue my career in personal training. Some younger trainers may not have experienced being unhealthy,overweight, aches and pains or the mental barrier/depression that can occur as you get older.
