Sugar Spice Cakes

Although the owner of sugar spice cakes is a lovely person sadly I can’t honestly recommend at this time to book. I booked a 60th birthday cake for my dad with details on a motorbike cake to make special for him. The flavour and texture of the cake was perfect and fresh, the lemon flavour/ layers where perfect. But unfortunately the cake wasn’t 100% as we had hoped. With going by the outstanding quality of Laura’s work posted we’ve all seen we feel the bike/cake wasn’t quite to the same standards. And possibly rushed/ not as much care gone into this cake. I couldn’t actually professionally photograph it otherwise it would show the bits such as was quite a lot of lumps/cracks and damage to the bike/ rider where the fondant wasn’t smooth or the cake wasn’t as flawless as the cakes I’ve seen of Laura’s online, which are absolutely flawless and so well detailed even when small subjects. Which is why I was happy to pay extra because we wanted to keep the cakes toper (sadly decided not to in end) The arm sadly was broken at the handle, and there was white hairs stuck in it which I had to pluck out, as well as cleaning up the base where the writing was. People sadly thought I had run out of time making it as the back of the cake wasn’t completed and I had to explain I paid for it which was a little sad considering the cost and year advance notice. I can imagine the stress of moving has played into factor which is understandable, but shouldn’t really of affected the quality. I did struggle with emails with no replies which I have seen in previous reviews but message on Instagram seems to get a response if your struggling. I still thought the cake was good But seemed everyone was a little disappointed with the cake. I have messaged about not being overwhelmed by the cake but unfortunately no reply. So at this time unfortunately I will be going else where for orders. And I can’t recommend Sorry. More...

This cake was so amazing! It’s almost like you pulled the characters straight out of the tv they were so detailed. Totally exceeded my expectation and cried when I saw how amazing it looked when I picked it up. Would 100% use again and highly recommend these guys ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👏🏻👏🏻 More...

First time using sugar spice cakes and I can honestly say I’m not disappointed in any way at all. I was very nervous to see my son’s cake for the first time and I was blown away when Laura opened the door. the cake looked amazing not only that but the cake tasted amazing too and everyone was saying it’s the best cake they have ever had. I would 100% recommend and I will definitely be back for more cakes in the future.
