I've been wanting to try this place for a while as it has a selection of differing food styles. I keep forgetting to book though so have kinda swerved going but some friends from Brighton came to stay so we thought we'd go anyway - tried to book but was sold out so just went to see the boutiques. Well, we got there at 12 and ambled around and I noticed that there were quite a few empty tables - so I thought I'd ask... it turns out that you can only book a table from two o'clock onwards and 12 - 2 is first come first served! Chuffed to bits! So we each ordered our selection, mine Mexican - delicious, wife had vegetarian Indian, lovely apparently but was obviously only a snack cos it had no meat. Daughter number 1 had Japanese - not that impressed, daughter number 2 had chips - lovely. Guest 1, chips & guest 2 pitta vegetarian thing, which I tried and it was lovely (but again, obvs only a snack). Had a good look round at the shops and it was a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Obviously had a cake from Friends in Knead (Jesus Christ they are gorg). Great environment but the vendors are all very meat oriented, it’s a struggle to find any substantial vegan options other than chips or a bowl of nachos. Bab Haus usually have a good vegan burrito with roasted squash but this has gone off the menu now and there’s just three meat burritos. Awful experience... we couldn't book a table for quiz night, and the quiz started without us knowing as we weren't in the right seats! And, to sum up the night, we parked in Newydd Building, Good Sheds, Barry, from 18:57 to 21:08, which is over the 2 hours max stay, and got the pleasure of a PCN Parking Fine from Alliance Parking.
