Such a calm and welcoming property. Our studio room was very well appointed with lots of lovely furnishing and display pieces. The well appointed garden, with an abundance of seating, pagolas, hammocks and loungers, added to the cool luxury and ambience of the accommodation. Having attended this event for the last few years and having stayed at the hotel on one occasion, I have to say what a pleasant experience it has been each year. |The hotel itself is wonderful set in its own grounds and the lakeside pavilion is a sight to behold. The decorations are beyond belief and clearly no expense is spared in producing the perfect setting for the evening.|From the moment you arrive to the moment you reluctantly leave the whole experience is magical. The staff from the doorman, waitresses and bar staff all make you feel welcome and can't do enough for you. I have stayed at Sturmer Hall on many many occasions and I have always been made to feel most welcome, almost part of the family. My most recent stay was no different, when I arrived the fire in the main hall was lit, my room was immaculate and Daniel and the rest of the team (who I won’t mention ) where on hand to chat and provide me with a warm cup of green tea (January detox).|I would and have recommended Sturmer to many friends and colleagues, as when you travel as much as I do for work, it makes such a refreshing change to stay somewhere with ‘soul’ and where from the moment you walk through the door you can simply relax.|I would say if you are in the Haverhill or surrounding area and looking for somewhere to stay, give Sturmer Hall a call, you won’t be disappointed.|Personally am looking forward to the summer and being able to site outside on the patio with a glass of red wine, eating amazing food cooked to order and discussing politics, religion and how traffic cones are taking over the world!| More...

Celebrating milestones in our lives is a part of our family traditions.||And we take this very seriously and celebrate it with charm and pride. ||We look for a venue that caters and lives up to our expectations.||And that's how we found Sturmer Hall. ||||I have fallen in love with Sturmer Hall the moment I saw it, and I told myself, this is the perfect place for us, a place that we are looking for, for so long.||I have searched so many halls and hotels in Cambridge and Bury's St Edmunds, but nothing can compare the charm that Sturmer Hall possess.||||We met Daniel, the owner of Sturmer Hall, a very kind, humble, accommodating and very knowledgable person, I have learned so much from Daniel.||He made us feel comfortable during our first meeting and entertained us so well.||The whole family, specially my children, enjoyed talking to him.||The Sturmer Hall staff are very easy to talk to from day one of preparation, up to the final day of the event.||They always made us feel comfortable and at ease, they are very flexible too - a simple request big and small, not a single problem with them at all.||||Meeting and knowing Tina and Emma ( the dynamic duo ) was one of the best day of my life, they are both very supportive and took all my stresses and worries away from preparing the whole event for us.||I love this two so much, they both made me feel like that I have known them for so long.||I have met many hotel managers and event coordinators in the past, but nothing can compare with the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of these two ladies.||||Celebrating a cotillion, a traditional coming of age party, was something that they have not done before.||When the final day has come, I was so amazed I nearly cried when I saw how the hall looked like- I thought it was just a dream.||It was spectacular !!!||The look on my daughters face said it all.||Sturmer Hall made my daughter very special that night they made her feel like a real Princess.||All the guests was so amazed with the hall, they enjoyed the whole night.||The food was so heavenly delicious and abundant, all my 120 guests were so satisfied from the main courses up to the desserts.||||The amount that we had paid for Sturmer Hall to cater for my daughter's 18th birthday was nothing compare to the grand, elegant and sophisticated place that they have created and given us.||I really want to thank Sturmer Hall a lot .... from the Owner Daniel, to the Operation Manager Tina and all the Staff of Sturmer Hall.||I really could not ask for more.||Sturmer Hall is indeed a place to visit... I throughly enjoyed my 18th birthday at the beautiful Sturmer Hall! |Not only was the food delicious (the cheesecake was divine), but the Hall itself was beautifully laid out - the lights on the dance floor were so beautiful, the sound quality from the speakers were great, the staff wonderful! ||The staff, especially Tina and Emma, were so very helpful too! They were thorough with the decorations and the sound checks and cues, so everything went perfectly on the night (Tina even snuck in a special song I suggested!). |Everything I wanted, (I even got a special “throne” to sit on!) was successfully provided - with meticulous care! They really made me feel special on my Cotillion (a traditional “coming of age” party). Surprisingly, they have never hosted one before, so I was impressed by the sheer quality of professionalism they delivered! ||I cannot thank Daniel and the team enough for preparing a lovely evening of memories for me and my family and friends! |Thank you so much!| More...

My husband and I got married at Sturmer Hall in 2014 and it was absolutely magical. I could not recommend this venue enough to anyone looking for a wedding location in the Cambridge area.
The organisation was incredible, the food was amazing (our families still talk about how wonderful it was!), the rooms were so luxurious and our day was absolutely perfect!
Some of our wedding guests stayed at the hotel with us so on the morning after our wedding we were able to all have breakfast together and talk about how much we all enjoyed the day before. It was amazing More...

It's always a delight to stay at Sturmer Hall whether it be in the Hall itself or in one of the garden rooms. Rooms are exceptional and tastefully decorated with amazingly comfortable big beds! It's a very relaxed atmosphere at the Hall and not always easy to find a member of staff but when you do the service is second to none. The Christmas party was really good fun and the marquee in the garden is a beautiful place to hold it with stunning decoration and lighting. The food was delicious and the staff were just lovely!
