Just got home from taking my 3 year old son for his 2nd haircut with Liz at Studio One. Up until now he has always had a very bad phobia of haircuts to the point of screaming, sweating, shaking, kicking and thrashing about. It would take 2 of us to attempt to hold him still. However Liz has cracked something with her time, patience and excellent manner with my son. He sat there with no tears but with smiles and she did a lovely cut. Cheryl has been my hairdresser for years now and I trust no one else but her to do my hair. I even moved to Essex and still come back to get my hair done here as the service is outstanding!
The girls are extremely welcoming and give good, honest advice about Wat products/colours/styles etc would be best suited to your individual needs.
The girls go out of there way to make you feel welcome and give you a personal experience as for me it's not just about getting my hair cut, it's that "me" time to chat about life, chill out and enjoy a lovely cup of coffee.

I booked an appointment here after reading how positive the reviews were. It had been a few years since I had been to a hairdresser so I was nervous! This was quickly eradicated by how warm and welcoming both the ladies were, Liz sat me down and we spoke about how I wanted my hair, I felt like she really listened to what I wanted and she took her time explaining everything to me and made me very comfortable. Just had my first appointment at Studio One on Monday. I have already booked in for my next appointment with them as they are that good. I have just moved to East Sussex from London and was very sceptical about trying a new Afro hairdressers outside of London as not many hairdressers know how to deal with the hair. However, I was pleasently surprised and my hair was done the best it had ever been done before. Very reasonably priced aswell! I highly recommend to anyone, any hair type. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the salon itself is decorated beautifully.Cheryl is a very professional hairdresser who really listens to what it is that you want and always deliver's to a high standard. I was very nervous the first time that I went as I was having my (just above the chest) hair cut into an asymmetical pixie. She listened to what I was asking for and spoke to me about it as she cut, she made it a very relaxing experience. I have used the salon a few times now and it's fantastic! I've had full head of extensions twice now and there perfect. My cut and style is spot on and they always give proper advice regarding your hair care.
