About

I am an Architect with over a decade of practical experience ranging from large residential, mixed use developments, hospitals to domestic alterations.
I believe that architecture is an art as well as a science. My aim is not only to design attractive buildings which fit their context, but to create imaginative, well laid-out interiors which enhance the lives of their occupants – always bearing in mind high performance and sustainability.
I understand that different clients have different needs and have new challenges to be resolved in the most efficient and economical way. I know how to liaise with local authorities, consultants, contractors and suppliers.

I design with sustainability at the top of my agenda. I aim to minimise my design proposals carbon footprint as well as the long term adaptability of my buildings from the outset. I address these issues through sensible orientation of buildings, thoughtful placement of functions within the building in order to minimise, or take advantage of solar gain, maximise natural day-lighting, optimise thermal mass, control glare and take advantage of natural ventilation.

I keep an open mind to all areas of energy conservation as well as energy production.
Careful material selection and construction methods inform my design from the outset
resulting in appropriate and deliverable solutions.
