What do you love most about your job?
The main two aspects are helping people to enjoy thier technology safely and as engineer to build and create.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked in the entertainment industry in London for many years I had a dream to use my experience in stage electrics and diversify my expertise in domestic and comercial electrical engineering, escape the hussle and bustle of city life, and start my own business in the seaside town of Broadstairs. Not only do I love being my own boss, I also enjoy working on smaller domestic projects but I still pop back to the big city or to music festivals to help long standing clients and friends who Ive been loyal to for many years.

I’m a friendly and approachable person who takes pride in being thorough and doing things the right way. I enjoy talking to clients about their visions and turning them in to reality when planning new installations as well as being avaliable to help when the power has gone out.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Having grown up with medical practicioners in the family Ive always known the first step to avoiding infection is hand hygene. I’ll have my hand sanitiser but if its appropriate Im very likely to ask if I can wash my hands throughout the day. In line with best practices I ask that the rooms im working in can have a window open to increase ventilation and decrease potential viral load. I will have PPE with me in my vehicle including a face covering, sterile gloves and shoe coverings. I can also wear an additional coverall over my uniform if needs be. If you need me to wear any PPE or have any specific requirements just let me know and I will be happy to accommodate you. Common sense and forethought are our best defence.
Bespoke lighting installations
Im fortunate enough to have my own workshop where I like to hand make lights. I enjoy working with copper, brass and wood mostly or often will upcycle interesting objects or sentimental items into lights for clients as commisioned pieces. Examples are champagne bottles from a wedding upcycled into his and hers bedside lights and a desk lamp made for a retiring carpenter from one of his wood planes.
