Steve is a great guy, super personable, easy to work with, and has some great tools and technique’s at his disposal.

He’s really supported me to make some difficult but necessary changes to my life as well as better understanding the driving forces behind some of my less constructive behaviours.

Hypnotherapy

I’ve struggled with severe anxiety and panic attacks for around 10 years. It got to to the point where my worst fear was going round to have a takeaway and watch a film with any guy I was interested in and I can now do everything that my anxiety had stopped me doing. I first visited Steve with some issues over anxiety and time - he helped resolve those problems by helping me to find my own way to put in place various coping mechanisms to ensure life runs smoothly. He creates a safe place to talk and look for the reasons for how and why your having problems .
He helps you find solutions and resolutions to those problems. Never forcing any particular ideas but always prepared too challenge your thought process if needed.
He has a great sense of humour and I always end up laughing at many of my "problem" I now see him once or twice a year to ensure all is well and it always is
He is the "go to Guy" in my book

I approached Steve a few years ago with a particular problem that I needed help with. He listened and helped me to make a plan and we began working right away. I walked away from the first session feeling brighter, happier and like I had taken control. After a few sessions of therapy I noticed that things were really changing, for the the better.

Making appointments is easy, and when we have our sessions I see it always as a safe space in which to open up and talk. I was at first, quiet cynical about the idea of Hypnotherapy but with Steve it is easy to let go and try things. He is grounded, kind and has a sense of humour which really helps to put me at ease. I would recommend him as a therapist to anyone.

After trying various forms of therapy that failed, I felt that there was nothing that could help me with my issues and then I started sessions with Steve.
Since beginning therapy 5 months ago, I have noticed a fundamental change in my behavior and habits, this is down to the great strategies Steve has enabled me to use and although I still have a long way to go, I feel that without Steve's help I would never have realized the full potential of my mind to positively solve problems whether stress or anxiety related.

I am privileged to have a job where I get to work directly with people who have a real desire to improve something about their lives. Some of my clients are going through extremely tough times, others just have one annoying problem they'd like to move past. Either way, when I am working with you, your needs and your goals are my only priority. The moment when clients start to see that they really can move past their problems is probably my biggest professional joy.

The chance to use the skills I have developed over more than 20 years of experience, education and training to work directly with people who want to make a change was always extremely appealing.

I knew that there was an opportunity to show that hypnotherapy and talking therapies in general are not 'alternative', and that they are an effective way of making life improvements regardless of how well life is already going. In other words, you don't go to the gym because your leg fell off, so why would you wait for your mental health to be poor to work on yourself?

I pride myself on making the services I offer accessible, honest, personal and gimmick-free. I tailor my support specifically to your needs, taking elements of counselling, NLP, hypnotherapy and coaching to work with you in a way that suits your mindset and goals.

I offer a "Straight Forward Guarantee" - If, at the end of your first session, you feel that I'm not the right person to help you (for whatever reason!) then please don't pay, and we'll call it an extended consultation!

Since the start of the pandemic I have moved my business entirely online. I've been delighted to find that I can offer just as personal and effective a service online, with some added benefits! Many of my clients like the flexibility and convenience of being able to access therapy at home. It has also meant that I am now able to work with clients throughout the UK rather than just locally.

All services are now online, in the comfort of your own home.

Services

60-minute therapy sessions provided online via Zoom video call. I specialise in working with people struggling with anxiety, depression and/or trauma.

I work primarily using counselling techniques, with elements of NLP and hypnotherapy techniques used to supplement this.

Counselling, to me, is about us working together to "untangle" the thoughts, feelings, anxieties, traumas, wants and fears that you may be carrying around. This helps you to understand yourself and your mind better in order to find ways to move forwards in life.

The hypnotherapy and NLP techniques I use provide a "toolkit" that I can teach you for a variety of purposes such as managing anxiety better, dealing with past trauma or navigating change in life.

I provide a free, no-obligation telephone consultation. This usually takes around 20 minutes and gives us a chance to discuss your needs and my services to see if I'm the right person to help.

I offer a "Straight Forward" guarantee: If, at the end of your first session you feel I'm not the right therapist for you, for whatever reason, I won't charge you for the session and we'll consider it an extended consultation. This is because I believe the most important element of finding a therapist is finding someone you feel comfortable with, and this hopefully takes the risk out of taking that first step!
