We got Ian from Storyway Media in to cover an event for us. Not only did Ian work with minimal input and supervision, he was able to improvise on the spot, conduct interviews (all the time running around helping us with various part of the event that were not part of our agreement or indeed his remit). The end result was a stunning overview video that showed our event in the best light imaginable - inspirational, seemless, and dare I say uplifting and emotional representation of the event. What do you love most about your job?
Meeting & working with inspiring people from all walks of life and visiting new locations around the UK and World.
Throughout my career so far I've been fortunate to have filmed and collaborated with some amazing and fascinating people interviewing CEOs, doctors, politicians, retail staff, celebrities, artists, young learners, teachers & parents, to name but a few.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After completing a Masters Degree in documentary filmmaking I was fortunate enough to gain a placement and work at the BBC, assisting on shows including Britain's Great Palaces with Dan Cruikshank and The Art of Gothic with Andrew Graham Dixon. Over time friends/business owners began approaching me asking for help with video content, which I very much enjoyed crafting, and after several years working as in house filmmaker/video producer at the International agency Merchant Cantos in London and thereafter the charity ABRSM, I decided to go freelance and began StorywayMedia. Since then I've produced films for a broad range of local, national and international organisations, shooting footage, editing and delivering professional content for medical associations, banks, performing artists, charities and broadcasters. In addition to building a portfolio of returning clients I have established a network of trusted production specialists who assist me on larger shoots and projects.
