About

My background is in writing and I worked as a freelance writer and copywriter for over ten years. In 2017, I set up Storymakers following the publication of my first book, The Mystery of the Disappearing Underpants. Since then, I’ve been offering group, termly creative writing sessions, holiday workshops and individual English and writing tuition to children aged 7+.

Q&As

I can share my love of writing with others, inspiring creativity, helping to improve confidence and most of all, show children that writing can be a fun and worthwhile process.

My daughter had been studying for the 11+ most of Year 5 and it had left little time for creativity. I offered to do some creative writing workshops to help the children prepare for the writing element of the exam. One workshop turned into another and before long, I was running them regularly.

People choose to work with me because I offer something different. I am an author, first and foremost, so I bring my passion for writing to what I do.

I have worked online since 2020, providing group sessions for up to six children, as well as individual 1:1s. I believe this works very well and continue to offer the majority of my services this way.

I tend to work mostly online. However, if an individual or group comes to my workshop, they agree to let me know if they or anyone else is unwell and to ensure they have tested, if necessary.
