What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Great photography depends on a few things:
1. Knowing the camera and how to work with different lighting conditions.
2. Being in the right place at the right time.
As a documentary-style wedding & events photographer, I specialise in capturing genuine moments and emotions without the need for posing, meaning you can relax and just enjoy your day. This means your photos are beautiful reminders of all the moments that make your day special, and not just when you had to stand around waiting for the photographer!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Because I focus on candid photography, I can get by with just the date, location and number of people attending if you don't want to get bogged down in details, and you can trust me to capture the day as it unfolds.
However, I'm always available by phone, email or over a coffee to talk through any specific requests, questions or concerns you may have.
What do you love most about your job?
Getting to photograph what is often said to be the best day of someone's life is a genuine pleasure.
I have so much fun capturing weddings and parties because I get to meet so many wonderful people and the atmosphere is always amazing. I mean, who doesn't love a wedding?!
Plus it's always so rewarding to know that I can deliver photos that couples will treasure forever and even be able to pass down to future generations.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been taking photos since I got my first (cheap) digital camera as a teenager, mostly taking photos of gigs and nights out with my friends. After graduating from university, I worked a 9-5 as a project manager, while taking photos on the side. After a few years, I decided that the office life wasn't for me, and decided to spend more time doing what I love, taking photos, and made the transition to being a photographer full time.
The freedom and variety that having my own business gives me while getting to do what I love full-time means that I'm not looking back!

Engagement Photography
Engagement sessions are a great way to celebrate your love in a location that might not be suitable for the whole wedding. Mountains, beaches and forests are always winners!
These sessions are also great to allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera before the big day.
