What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
When it comes to portraits, number one is making the subject feel at ease, so I'll always make sure if my subject feels nervous that we take things slowly and get them used to being in front of the camera.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
For photography, I'd want to see visual references ideally to get a sense of the look and feel they have in mind for their photos.
For social media, I like to get an idea of what the goals are for the business, and ultimately what they want social do contribute; what is the 'end product'? To get people to click through to a website and join a mailing list? To buy? To encourage people to create user-generated content? There are many different directions you could go in when it comes to social media so it's good to decide from the outset what you want to focus your content on.
What do you love most about your job?
The variety - I've always been someone who's curious about many things and this job gives me the opportunity to work across multiple industries, different sizes and types of company and meet all kinds of people.
What inspired you to start your own business?
When I worked for a large UK property company I spent a lot of time working in coworking spaces around London and being around start-ups and entrepreneurs is very infectious! I reached a point where I decided it was time to take a leap of faith and try to work for myself.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
At the time of writing I've had my first vaccine dose, plus I'm always conscious of observing social distancing protocols during shoots.
