As a regular event coordinator that uses St. Mary's for a social enterprise, they cannot be nicer and more supportive of the sheffield community. Most places wanted to charge us loads and these guys have always charged us what they can afford to, knowing we are not for profit. The food is lovely and reception staff are the nicest in the world! Actually I didn't visit St Mary's the Anglican church but St Mary's Wesleyan Reform Church on the other side of the big roundabout there. It was a bit quiet but it was okay. There was sharing from someone from a Christian organisation helping persecuted Christians around the world and especially in Muslim countries which account for 80% of the recorded persecution of Christians. What a truly beautiful structure. It is amazing but thankful, that Sheffield Council have not turned it into a mosque and alienated the few remaining decent citizens who would like to not be confronted by mosques and the atrocity which is halal.

Quite a grand building from the outside, not been inside so can't say a great deal. But the architecture shows where all the peoples money went back when it was built, not a testimony of the good works of Jesus Christ, but a testimony to the profiteering of the church of yesteryear; you just would not see something this grand being built in this day and age. I go here to attend meetings with sheffield parent carer forum. So this is not a review of the church. It's a big building with lots of meeting rooms. Rooms tend to have tea and coffee making facilities. Toilets are accessible as there are lifts throughout. The building is wheelchair accessible but I don't know how easy it would be for mobility scooter.There's a little office as soon as you go in and they're very helpful directing you to which room you need to be in. Rooms are clean, carpeted and temperature is always warm in the winter. Great venue to host a meeting or workshop. More...
