SSS Alleviate Ltd

I had a very strong smell of oil fumes in my home for approximately two months. Had two engineers out to check my boiler but neither could find the problem. I was recommended to SSS Alleviate Ltd who very quickly came to assess the smell. It was oil fumes and although my tank and oil boiler were at the bottom of the garden. My back garden is paved yet the fumes had leaked into the sand beneath seeping up the garden closer to my home. Tom Murphy was able to check the level of fumes and soon discovered they were at a totally unacceptable and unsafe levels in my home. They immediately got to work tracing where the oil fumes ( not oil ) had spread too. Thankfully they did find where the fumes ended, attached a massive orange fan to pull the fumes outside and to stop anymore entering. I cannot thank SSS Alleviate enough. This made my home safe and within a few hours the smell had almost gone. The beginning of a long process and an insurance claim to navigate the process of keeping my home safe is still ongoing. Boiler and tank have had to be moved temporary, the ground underneath will be evacuated and left open allowing the air to eventually disperse all fumes contained in the sand. No one knows how long this will take. I can only hope once the contaminated sand has been removed and the fresh air does its job on whatever fumes are below I will be a lot safer. Please do not ignore the smell of oil in your home, it is dangerous for your health. We are warned about carbon monoxide poisoning ( the silent killer ) but not educated on the risks of constant exposure to oil fumes. I am forever grateful to SSS Alleviate Ltd.
