From initial survey and pricing through to installation and aftercare support, these guys were tiptop. Answered all my questions before placing the order, which I had many. My install wasn’t straight forward being 3phase and some panels hung on bespoke brackets. However all installed an up and running within no time. It has been great to deal with Max, Oliver and the Team for my Solar PV and Battery installation. My knowledge on Solar was limited so they have educated along the way, and installed a system with an Ev Charger which looks and works incredibly well. Max, Oliver and team have been a pleasure to deal with from the very start to the finish of the install, we’ve just had 16 panels installed along side a 5kva inverter/charger and topped with enough batteries to run the house for the day. All of our questions were answered quickly and efficiently, between Ollie and Max, we were made to feel at ease and completely reassured that all our needs were met and that we understood the app used to see the energy made and used. Truly fantastic! Square 1 installed our system a year ago and they were superb! Quoted a fair price, completed the job in a day and the works was extremely well co-ordinated. All the team were professional, highly skilled and personable, and really cared about getting it right. Both Ollie and Max were on hand to check it was going smoothly and always responsive when we had questions afterwards. The after-service was excellent! The savings we have made on our electricity has been extensive and with the batteries we included its made a huge difference. We have been very very impressed with every aspect of Square1 installations. From the start with great customer service, not at all pushy. The install was prompt, and the installers very polite and helpful (they brushed the moss off our entire roof which was totally above and beyond). Through to aftercare when we had a little issue with the batteries talking to the inverter (I think?!). Ollie really took his time to find out & remedy the situation. They kept us informed at all stages, and were open to discussion about any queries. Lovely little local independent business run by a couple of very genuine guys. Square1 worked very well with my builder and fitted the solar panels and battery kit very promptly. The guys who did the work were great to have around too. It’s been fitted for 3 months now and I’m still not able to be paid for exporting, not mainly their fault it just seems a long process. I’m also having to teach myself about the LuxPower app and the solar boost, I’ve had some days with no hot water because it’s not been a great summer. Altogether a great service. More...

Square1 I Installations Ltd were excellent throughout. Max was friendly and knowledgeable when he came to quote and discuss options with us. We received a very competitive quote soon after and the work was completed within 2 weeks. All of the tradespeople who came to the house worked hard, were friendly, completed their work to a highly skilled standard and left the site clean. I have had solar panels fitted by Max for over a year now and am delighted that I decided to fit them and to use this company. The whole process was smooth start to finish and generation has exceeded the predicted figures quoted at the time. What really impressed me about the company though was the after sales service. At the time of fitting I couldn’t afford a battery but added some last winter. I phoned Max asking for advice after a local electrician had not given me the correct info stipulated by the DNO. Max gave me the correct information/paperwork, liaised with the DNO on my behalf and put me in touch with electricians that were able to add in a battery. To do this was not obligatory however superb customer care which I appreciated and so I highly recommend this company and would suggest if you can afford it to put in as much battery storage as you can to maximise your generation. As I have an EV as well, I reckon I have already recouped the cost of installation and expect the batteries to pay for themselves in the next year or so. Thank you. More...

Square 1 were recommended to us by a friend and have been excellent. In the initial stages they provided very helpful and knowledgeable advice. This included guidance on the cabling required that we were able to have installed during earlier work. This saved a great deal of work and therefore cost when it came to the actual installation of our PV system. That installation was completed in less than two days and we were generating solar power within 48hrs of the work starting. Great experience from the start! After a recommendation from a friend, we invited Max over for a chat!! He was thorough, knowledgeable and took time to understand and answer our questions before Square1 provided a quote. Another couple of contenders failed to impress, so we took the plunge!! The panels were fitted in October on an east facing roof, along with an inverter and battery in an accessible loft space. Scaffolders, fitters, electrician and commissioners were all excellent. We now regularly sell energy back to the grid and often manage to run the house from solar panels alone during the summer months, just paying the standing charge! It has made us think very differently about how we use electrical equipment, and the monitoring software allows us to track usage and turn on the immersion heater at an appropriate time in the day - we’re also saving on gas usage!! Max and all the Team at Square 1 did a fantastic mega install at our home. 54 panels across three roofs generating up to 22kwp. Had to endure some fairly harsh conditions, but the Team kept ploughing on fuelled by Tea and Biscuits. Been running now for 6 months or so and already generated 13000kwh of power that has come off our bills. Complicated by a 3 phase install requirement, which was handled flawlessly. Having looked at various suppliers reviews we entrusted Sq1 installations to supply/fit our new solar panels, batteries and inverter. From start to finish the whole job went like clockwork with workmanship and materials being first class. The fitting crew were courteous and friendly throughout and finished within job scope. Once commissioned there were no teething problems and now almost a year later we are over the moon with the system, we are with Octopus and are able to export back to the grid which also helps with payback. Changing climatic effects made us decide to invest in producing some of our own electricity from solar panels. From a wide range of offers we took advice from a friend and chose SquareOne Installations of Norwich - and we chose well. Their assessment was thorough and careful, they took note of our requirements and, despite hiccoughs in the supply chain, they delivered and installed the setup keeping pretty close to their estimate. We realised early on that having batteries to store some of our home produced electricity would be key to the success of the installation and we increased our original order from one battery to two. SquareOne took this on board. Our aim is to make maximum use of our home-produced electricity as well as selling all the fine weather excess back to the grid. We chose Octopus Energy as among the leaders of the pack having a tariff expressly for people with solar panels and battery storage. Performance to date has been encouraging and we find Octopus ready to answer communications swiftly and clearly. Our installation works reliably and is already giving a return on our investment. Couldn’t fault Square1, communication was always great before, during and after install. Even a year on they’re still happy to answer questions whenever I have them. Max and Oliver and the team provided an outstanding ground mounted solar system for our home. We have had teething problems along the way, but nothing that wasn't solved. I can't state how good Square I Installations are. At the end of January this year (2023). Square1 installations ltd, installed for us, 14 solar panels, two wall batteries, a Zappi car charger and an Eddi to heat our hot water tank. Max and Oliver are very knowledgeable and professional as are their team. The installation took 2 days and worked like magic from day one. In April we took delivery of our electric car and over almost 4 months we have driven over 3000 miles, all from our solar panels . The Eddi gives us hot water every day. The wall batteries are fully charged each day ready to use once the day light fades in the evening. The Zappi re charges the car with surplus solar elecric that would otherwise have been sent to the grid. Oliver is always on hand to help with any litter issues we may have had.
