As accountants we have an insight into our clients' many aspects of life. As such we must build relationships based on professional trust and understanding of each individual client. A great accountant will identify their client's needs and address them by creating a bespoke service package each time.

I meet a lot of different people doing this job. And learn a lot from them. It is very interesting to meet people with vision, ambition and determination to achieve success.
It also gives me a satisfaction that I can help clients who sometimes come to me with panic in their eyes, not understanding the complicated tax system, thinking they did something wrong. We then sit together, go over their situation and come up with a solution! I have heard many of: "you're a life saver" or "you know so much about this". It is always good to hear a good word. It means I am doing something good. I hope.
Oh, and of course being able to balance the books!

I have been working in practice for many years, starting as a volunteer and finally being able to qualify as a full member of AAT. I believe, that after so many years I managed to gain enough skill, and experience to finally venture out on my own. I have witnessed others growing their businesses, and succeeding. That was my inspiration. And the fact that I have now full control of how I work.

Being a sole practitioner, I get involved with all aspects of running the practice. This means clients will not get lost dealing with different people every time they need assistance. I pride myself in making an effort to get to know all my customers and build a professional relationship that suits both sides.

My practice is designed to provide a fully remote service. I do not have a 'physical' location and communicate with clients online via video link or telephone.
I have access to secure online programs to exchange and store data.
