About

I help clients discover their exercise “Spark” and get excited and motivated about exercise and training. Spark Move Grow specialises in helping clients on a 1-2-1 basis get stronger, leaner, fitter and healthier. Everyone is unique - peoples’ experience and mental and physical abilities all vary and so whether the goal is gaining strength, getting leaner or more flexible, I create training programmes and a style of training that is specifically tailored to each client and adapts as their needs and goals change.

Hi Nick Although short and sweet I really enjoyed the sessions. They were dynamic and informative. I definately benefitted from them and when I'm next on a film working in your neck of the woods...

I’ve been boxing training with Nick for over 7 months and I can honestly say that it is the best stress reliever and most fun form of exercise I have ever had. Nick is an amazing coach; he listens, knows how to get the best out of me and always makes me feel at home in his gym. I recommend Nick and his boxing training 100%. My boxing sessions are a great workout but have also been amazing for my mental health; if you’ve had a bad day or stressful time, I guarantee that an hour’s boxing with Nick will work wonders for your mental health! By finding a client’s “Spark” and creating a programme around it. Anyone can start a fitness regime but to make a real difference, a client needs to be excited and motivated about their training. I create truly personalised training programmes that motivate clients and use proven techniques to deliver results.

Thinking about what’s important to you and focusing your training on achieving realistic goals. For a lot of my clients, their goals are about developing strength, building lean muscle and being fit and healthy, rather than trying to achieve unrealistic physiques.

I love seeing clients’ hard work and effort translate into real, tangible results that make a proper difference to their lives; for example, a client’s physique changing, a client participating in running races after extensive back surgery or a client being able to pick up and play with their grandchildren.

Having spent 15 years working in the advertising industry in London I have seen first-hand the effect that day-to-day stress can have on people’s lives. I have also - from a personal perspective - seen the amazing power that health and fitness can have in combating stress and helping create a more positive lifestyle. In 2018 I decided to make the life-changing decision to focus on what I’ve always been passionate about and pursue a future in Personal Training. The Spark Move Grow name and principles are very personal to me because it represents everything I believe - and have learnt - about fitness and health.

Truly personalised approach:
I achieve results for my clients by creating training programmes that are specific to their abilities, experience and goals and jointly being accountable for achieving them.

Experience working with existing medical conditions:
I have experience working with clients who have a range of chronic and post-injury conditions and have specific experience helping clients with back-related issues improve their mobility and quality of life. Focus on long term, sustainable change:
Most people can go on a crash diet and/or intense fitness regime and see results in a short space of time. However, in order to achieve a sustainable transformation, you need a plan and approach to keep you motivated whilst delivering short term manageable, realistic goals. The majority of my clients have been with me for 2yrs+ and continue to achieve their goals.

Yes! Spark Move Grow provides live 1-2-1 personal training sessions over Zoom. Using a phone/laptop, clients log in to the live video session and we run through the programme and exercises as if clients were in the private studio in Wokingham. I coach clients online and using my ‘Virtual 1-2-1’ sessions in locations across the UK, Germany, the US and India.

There is a minimum 15 minute gap between client sessions and equipment is cleaned between sessions.

Boxing is an amazing workout; it’s a sport that combines cardio, strength and power and mental agility. People who have learnt to box talk about the confidence it has given them, the physical and mental strength they’ve gained and the weight they’ve lost.

Spark Move Grow has created a 12 week ‘Introduction to Boxing’ programme specifically designed for clients who want to try something new and find a positive outlet.
