I searched frantically for a vegan baker in Manchester for my wife's birthday. Being a typical man I had left it until the last minute and panic set in, I searched high and low on social media and then I discovered Soul Vegan. .and I am so glad that I did! I contacted Emma who was quick to respond and extremely helpful. Time wasn't an issue and even arranged to have the cake dropped off at our hotel the morning we arrive... in fact Emma kept in contact on the day via txt to make sure all was ok. Customer service 5/5, but what about the cake?!My wife walked into the hotel room and immeditily burst into tears, the cake was set as the center piece of the table and...WOW, just look at that picture, it was absolutely gorgeous! After pulling a chocolate spear off the top and taking her first bite I told my wife it was vegan, she looked at me in astonishment.. but vegan cakes don't taste this good! The cake was so moist and delicious, we were only in Manchester for 48 hours and couldnt take it back on our flight so we had to eat the whole thing.. it was quite a mission, but it tasted sooo good that we managed to eat our way through...and I for one would happily have eaten it for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the rest of the week. In this day and age I find that we are overwhelmed with choices and are often let down by sub par execution, I love it when someone over delivers, when they truly do something amazing and can put their name to it. Having to go dairy and soy free due to my baby's allergies meant that I had to cut out most desserts. Having not had a decent dessert in almost a year, I was absolutely blown away by my gorgeous birthday cake that my husband surprised me with. Amazing vegan bakery based in Cheshire. They make bronuts, celebration cakes and even homemade vegan ice-cream!! Everything here is just out of this world. Everything's also gluten free and refined sugar free too which is a huge bonus. You can really easily order online from anywhere in the UK, and they also supply the Garden in Hale, Hampton and Vouis in Manchester and the Wellbeing farm in Lancashire.
