I have the misfortune of being a Solv customer but not my choice - they are used by the management company which looks after my property. Invoices 2+ years late, substandard work and the well known game of ‘you need x amount of work done for x amount of money’ when in reality there is no indication for the work at all. Avoid. More...

I've just received World Class Customer Service from Ross after my Combi boiler failed to show any signs of life when I tried to reset it. Ross is obviously one of Solv's Premier League players. Not only did he arrive promptly after my emergency call and work methodically through each possible cause before identifying the precise problem component - the fan transformer - he also answered each of my questions clearly and in detail throughout. Once I decided that it would be better to replace the boiler altogether, Paul patiently talked me through the options and answered all my questions.
