We have our own in-house design team and training academy at our HQ based on Hessle East Yorkshire and we cover jobs within a 100-mile radius of HU13.

I am a roofing contractor based in Baildon, West Yorkshire. Alex Hall (Solar Techs) first got in touch with me with hopes to expand his business from Hull to my area.
We planned for him to provide training to my team to install the brackets required for the panels.
After being back and forth several times to chat, I decided to give Alex an opportunity and secured 2 separate re-roofs with a solar panel system to be installed once completed.
Upon completing our re-roof, Alex Hall sent his team from Hull to Menston, Ilkley to begin installing the system. Almost immediately it was made clear that the team Alex sent had no idea what they were doing.
We had to put a stop to their works almost immediately as the roofer they sent identified as a plasterer, and when asked about the number holes he had left in the roof his reply was “that’s how it’s meant to be”.
They were given the opportunity to make right however turned up with the same team after the homeowner had requested this team did not proceed with any further work on their address, and continued to make further damages which myself and my team rectified once Solar Techs were removed from site.
Ultimately, our elderly retired customer was left with damage to their roof and no solar panel system from Solar Techs. With a garden & scaffold full of destroyed slate and left over solar materials. We rectified the damages caused by Solar Techs. Alex Hall was incredibly uncomfortable and intimidating throughout the whole process towards us and our customer.
I would strongly suggest avoiding this company at all costs. I have documented and photographed all Solar Techs work throughout this process so would be happy to share with anybody that is interested.
If you have had works carried out by Solar Techs, I would strongly recommend employing a credible roofing contractor to come check your roof before it’s too late!

Our Domestic boiler was struggling to supply decent shower pressure/temps and had started kettling so set about sourcing a company to survey and quote for an upgrade. After meeting Alex and his team during the professional survey inclusive of videos, pics to collate correct data to ensure I was quoted for what the house needed to service my family and I. We chose to go with Bamboo who fully removed the old systems and replaced with a top of range Worcester. Our old boiler was on its last legs, pipes banging and making strange noises so we decided to ask Bambu if they could help. Alex paid us a visit to discuss our options. Well what a polite and knowledgeable young man. Not a pushy salesman. All our questions were answered instantly and honestly. He advised us that a combi boiler was the most suited to our needs. We placed the order on Friday and the new boiler was to be fitted on the following Monday! Monday morning the Bambu van arrived with two fabulous polite and energetic engineers, Dave and Guy. Well no time for the obligatory tea before the work started. They worked together like a well oiled machine, no time for breaks. When the boiler was partially installed with its shiny precisely fitted pipes it looked like a work of art that should be hung in the Tate Modern. Tea time came, job finished, no mess eveything left as found. Dave then explained the settings of the boiler in simple plain English and the same with the wireless control. It was a pleasure to have Alex, Dave and Guy in to remedy our heating system problem. FIVE STARS each. We would recommend Bambu to anyone needing help with their heating system. First Class Service!
Having realised our boiler had broken down completely on Tuesday evening I called Bambu Heating the next day and explained the situation.
That very same day a chap called Alex came to fully explain their services. He couldn’t have been more helpful, professional and amiable and stated that because it was an emergency with not having any heating/hot water, that they could install a new boiler in 2 days time.
Sam,the fitter, arrived in the morning and by mid-afternoon we were up and running. We can’t praise them all highly enough for the superb job that was done from first consultation to the final clean up. Well done Bambu Heating.

Excellent service from the start came and gave us a quote within days of our initial enquiry.We made arrangements for them to fit the new boiler within days. The installation team were fantastic, they were very professional and had a great sense of humour, they explain everything in detail and set up my wi-fi control to my phone for me which was a god send as I would have still been trying to do it myself. After searching lots of websites, decided on using Bambu, made the enquiry and straight away Alex & Tommy came to discuss and look at what we needed.
The new boiler was fitted within the week, and the 2 guys who came to fit were really professional, helpful and did a cracking job!
We've just had our energy provider contact us, so after 2 months of having the new boiler installed , despite rising fuel costs our bill has dropped by £15 a month! Delighted and would recommend.

Bamboo provided an excellent service and where very approachable, jovial and polite. They did everything I asked them to do if not more and there was happy to assist.
They cleaned up after they had finished which in my opinion is a good thing, because it’s not often that happens.
They are fast and efficient and I am planning on using them again for my bathroom.
I definitely would recommend this company for all your plumbing needs however big or small.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Why should our clients choose you?
We are fast, friendly and very experienced in the home improvement sector. We have upgraded over 5000 properties since 2003 and we work to very high standards with a strong aftersales focus. We have a number of videos showing how we work with many happy customers.
