We are so happy that we chose Skinner and Sons to do our removals. They were very polite, friendly and professional from the initial phone consultation right through to the last item being taken off the van and placed in our new home. They arrived early on the day and made sure everything was carefully packaged and safely packed. They took great care throughout our move and went over and above, exceeding all our expectations. These guys were unbelievable. We got recommended them, word of mouth, to help us move from Prittlewell to Great Wakering. They made several trips to our house to quote and plan the move, then a couple more to pack up crockery and fragile items, prior to the day of the move . They then turned up early on move day, three big guys, that made it look easy. They were polite, hard working and kept us informed all the way throughout the move. They then stuck around really late in the day, whilst we dealt with the inevitable delays. They worked a 14 shift. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Absolute legends. More...

Just wanted to thank Dilan, Nicky and the team at Skinner & Sons for moving three generations of our family recently. We had the full pack, dismantle/reassemble and removal service and cannot recommend them highly enough. Fabulous friendly yet professional service from start to finish and no stress involved at all!! We probably weren’t your average move and even at 8.30pm after the last load of moving our chickens 😂🙈 they were still in good spirits and checking their was nothing else they could move for us before they left. Skinner and Sons moved us from south Essex to Lincolnshire this week. I can safely say they are the best removal company around and would recommend them to anyone. They are courteous, professional and friendly. They go above and beyond and put so much effort into making a stressful day more manageable. We appreciate everything they did for us, from helping us by carrying our vendors rubbish they left at the property to the front of the house to plugging in our fridge freezer. Just unpacked my final Box after Dylan and his team moved us on Friday. Not one single thing was damaged or broken and on the day nothing was too much trouble for them. Within an hour of arriving all the boxes were on the van, heavy furniture was packed without fuss and we opted to have our beds disassembled and reassembled at our new house (thanks Dave). They were so polite and friendly a truly professional service which after a stressful conveyancing process was exactly what we needed on moving day. So impressed with Skinners. They worked solidly for more than 10 hours to get us into our new home. Nothing was too much trouble for Dylan, and considering we had some very heavy furniture to get into some very tight spaces, he just smiled and said it would not be a problem! We moved last Friday and I genuinely don’t think it would have been possible without Skinner & Sons. Weeks before the move Nikky arranged for boxes of all shapes and sizes to be delivered to us including a huge roll of bubble wrap and paper to pack with. On moving day the wind was horrendous but Dylan, Dave, Jamie and Tony turned up at 8am and got going regardless. They checked with all our neighbours to make sure they weren’t in anyones way when parking and were thoroughly professional from start to finish regardless of the horrendous weather conditions. The price was great, the service impeccable and I couldn’t recommend them more highly. They made what should have been an incredibly stressful day an absolute breeze 😉 Rather than just an invoice we had a ‘Congratulations on your New Home’ card come through the post which we thought was a great personal finishing touch. I would highly recommend Skinner & Sons. We had a seamless move in November 2021, where the guys did a pre-pack the day before and final load on moving day, which made the whole process extremely stress-free. We had a long protracted chain, a constantly moving completion date and Nicky and the team did their utmost to work with those dates so they could still move us, which was a huge relief. The communication and planning was faultless. The guys on the day were friendly, polite, respectful and patient and due to the length of the chain worked into the night, without any hint they were tired or frustrated by how long it was taking. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. Every item was placed in its new correct location, all our possessions were well looked after and protected and due to professionalism of the team, the settling into our new home was fast and smooth.
