I only write this as this is the second visit in the past 2 months and hoping the first disaster was a one off. Unfortunately not. Table booked for 8:15. Not seated until 9:15 and only after chasing them up. No drink order taken in the bar waiting area. Cannot order a drink at what you would expect to be the bar serving area. Only found out you have to go to the other end of bar thanks to another disgruntled customer. 15 mins at our table before menus were literally thrown on the table. Poor waitress was on her own trying to serve too many tables. Two mains brought to the table and then told the other one would be another 10 mins. Drinks ordered at the same time as the mains. Chased up during and after eating. Still no drinks. It was only one cocktail and a glass of wine so not a large order. Other tables also complaining about service from when they first arrived. In the end went to the front of house and asked the manager to speak outside. May as well have spoken to a plant. I’m surprised they have any retuning customers. Just had a lovely lunch catching up with old friends . We thoroughly enjoyed it the decor , atmosphere and the food was fantastic. It was so good we actually mentioned to the waitress it was the best kebab ever eaten . There are many Turkish restaurants opening up in the area but I think you would have to go along way to beat this one . I promised my daughter I would bring her here for her 16 th birthday if I enjoyed it so looks like I should be booking soon 👍🏻. If you haven’t been here before I would highly recommend . The worst of the worst. I have been a regular customer few years back but they turned out to be worse and worse. The last 1 years they haven’t even accepted card payments which is ridiculous. Probably trying to hide their profit, I don’t know. Today I was walking there and I thought let’s give a chance. I ordered a small lamb sish and instead of the bread and rice I requested more salad. The guy was so rude and said it’s an extra. I am eating out in finchley and hendon at several restaurants and NEVER EVER had a problem like this. Instead of the rice and bread every restaurant happy to give you some extra lettuce. Which cost less than rice and bread anyway. Very disappointing and rude people. Anyway, the food is disappointing and not sure of the hygiene either as they touching everything with their bare hands. No thanks! Avoid them at any cost! More...

Having been to Shish before and loved the food and the lovely welcome and service we re-visited for a family occasion yesterday but had the complete opposite experience ☹️ Whilst the food was up to their usual great standard the service was awful! Ordered drinks - took 45 mins to arrive Starters - waited forever The usual friendly faces were non existent, there was no apology or contact from the waiter at any point to say why everything was running late - tables around us seemed to be getting served! We booked an early 6pm dinner for 4 online which was great for Saturday 20th November 2021. Held at the Hornchurch restaurant. We then ordered our meals and although the cold platter starter was tasty, we were all very disappointed with the quality and taste of the main meals. And in fact although we did not complain because it was a celebration dinner-we just did not eat it all because it was tasteless basically. The meat had no seasoning, even when salt and pepper added. Then top it -the service was bad tonight. It took over 40 minutes for our plates to be cleared after eating the main meals after asking for table service. The waiter did apologise and said that he was busy. We subsequently left after paying the hefty bill, as we just wanted get out of the restaurant. What a shame! I was thinking about booking a large table for July 2022 to celebrate a birthday -coming of age. But my experience tonight has totally put me off and I will not recommend this restaurant -the way it is at the moment. I-am sorry to say! More...
