What a brilliant day! My partner & I really loved making rings for each other in a very personal workshop just for two - the whole creative process, from discussing ideas, melting metal, carving, casting - is all so engrossing. Shelley is there to help every step of the way whilst encouraging you to quickly develop skills yourself, and her workshop has all sorts of tools & trays to help you. Shelley is lovely, straightforward with explanations (very helpful) and very calm, so the whole day is somehow fun, active and relaxing all at the same time.At the end of the day we both had a beautiful and unique piece of jewellery to give each other, with all the love we'd each put into it and the memories of the day making them. Added bonus - my partner has discovered a new antidote to executive stress, metalwork is totally absorbing and rewarding, especially when you end up with beautiful items to keep forever.I'd totally recommend one of Shelley's workshops, either for making unique jewellery for yourself or others - or the workshop experience itself as a fabulous and unique gift for someone you love - absolutely no prior experience necessary.
