I am a retired nurse who has always owned dogs and love walking them and being around them. I have a part time job in Plymstock, but in the meantime I like to keep fit walking.
When I retired from nursing I did a dog grooming course which I passed with Distinction and this included topics such as canine behaviour and first aid.

We booked a tour through Invitation To View, so we were shown around the ground floor of the house and the garden by the owners. The garden is absolutely beautiful and the views over the river are spectacular. This was all finished off with a delicious cream tea.Well worth the trip. More...

More...

A stunning period house and garden. A private residence with viewing by appointment or on advertised open days.
Set with a glorious vantage point of the River Yealm valley the steep gardens display plants and trees from around the globe, with some particular mature exotic species.

What do you love most about your job?
I love animal care and dog walking and making clients secure and happy to know that their pet is well looked after and in the best care. I strive for excellence to keep both my clients and their animals happy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After retiring from nursing I really wanted to start working with animals more. After my Dog Grooming course I enrolled on an Extended (Level 2) course in Animal Care with Achievement training in Plymouth which I enjoyed and hoped this would help me start my own business caring for pets and dog walking.
Why should our clients choose you?
I want to make clients feel that their beloved pets are in the best care. I am sensitive to their pet's needs as no two animals are the same. They are all individuals and need attention to detail to deal with them appropriately. Whether it be age, temperament, or physical ability, they are all different and need to be treated as such.
I have a vast life experience of looking after dogs, cats, horses, small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. No animal is too large or too small for good care. They are all amazing and bring such joy to peoples lives, they deserve to be treated with love and respect.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I can arrange to meet and greet anyone who is interested in animal care for their pet. I can be e.mailed for any information the client may require. I am flexible so can be available at short notice. I have stayed over in clients own homes if they have a nervous dog or cat for example, so they are able to stay in their own environment whilst the clients take a short holiday. Please e.mail me and we can discuss your options or telephone me and if I am not available, I will get back to you.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
As an ex-nurse infection control is very important to me and if I were ever too sick to walk or care for an animal I would decline work until I felt well enough to continue. I am up to date with all my Covid vaccinations and always attend for boosters and regular flu vaccinations as advised by NHS England.
