We hired Sean to guide us with training our new puppy Bramble. We particularly liked Sean’s approach of preparing us as the owners to take the lead on training our dog. He clearly demonstrated each exercise, and then handed over to us to practice whilst he provided guidance. This gave us the confidence to take forward the training between sessions and our dog consequently picked things up quickly and made great progress. It was also great fun for us too! Sean took the time to explain the rationale of the training approach to us and we have now built a strong understanding of clicker training that we have been able to apply successfully to other aspects of Bramble's training! He always follows up each training session with notes to remind us how to execute and develop each exercise, and with extra material for us to read offline. Our experience of working with Sean has been great and we highly recommend him. More...

Hollie and I really enjoy our training with Sean. He has a great affinity with dogs and is good with people too. He’s very knowledgeable and patient with both of us and explains things clearly. Through consistent application we’ve made great improvements with some tricky issues that we’ve had for a while (pulling on her lead, recall and jumping up). I also really like how Sean follows up each session with notes on what we covered and how to undertake each exercise – I found this super helpful, as it helps me remember what to do, but also means I can focus during the sessions, rather than losing track whilst taking notes. Thanks, Sean! More...

We have a Paterdale terrier boy who Sean has helped us train. He also walks our dog three times a week which means he knows him really well . Sean is a really good listener and zeros in on what we are interested in fixing. He follows up and we exchanged videos and messages after the sessions, which means if something hasn’t worked we change it. The dog has improved a lot and is a calmer happier dog now, which is great. We’d really recommend Sean and trust him completely with the dog. More...

We contacted Sean after getting our new puppy Gatsby to make sure his training got off to a good start. From an early stage sean equipped us as new owners, with the tools to train our dog in an effective and fun way.

Sean has been patient and listened to our concerns and our dog adores him. His lessons with him are the highlight of his day. When we (or our dog) has not quite understood something, Sean has shown paitenance in couching us to the right solution.

We would highly recommend to anyone with a dog but especially those looking to get their puppy training off to a flying start.

Sean has provided us with 1-2-1 dog training sessions for our jack russell and he has helped us with several areas. He only uses kind and positive methods and we have seen some fast results! He really listens to what you want to achieve, gets to know your dog in their home environment, and tailors the training accordingly and is very flexible and dynamic with his approach. We have found him to be extremely knowledgeable and he has been great at communicating between sessions as and when needed. Sean has also provided clear advice in preparation for our first baby’s arrival which we have found helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sean to others More...

“I was talking to a friend about wanting and needing some help with my new pup, Freddie. He’s a lovely boy, friendly, but a bit boisterous and I wanted him to start on the right path. My friend recommended Sean - I contacted him about puppy training and he saw me very soon afterwards. I booked five training sessions with Sean which turned out to be for both me and Freddie – turns out we both had things to learn. We covered house training, socialising with other dogs and tackled the big puppy welcomes which were starting to involve a bit too much jumping and excitement. I’m so happy with the progress Freddie has made in just a few months. He’s a much easier dog to be around. Sean has also been very good at remote support between lessons on the couple of occasions it’s been needed. He’s very helpful and seems to really know his stuff. Freddie and I thank you very much.” More...

This package will teach you the techniques you need to employ in order to train your dog to walk nicely on a loose leash.

This could be a puppy or young dog who is learning to walk on the lead for the first time. Or it could be an adolescent or adult dog who quite simply pulls too much, making walks challenging and stressful.

The package comprises 2 training sessions.

The first would include an initial assessment to review how the dog is currently walking on a lead and the extent of the current problem. Sean will show you how to employ positive reinforcement training techniques to reward the dog when it walks nicely and when it makes choices not to pull.

You would practise these techniques between training sessions so that the dog has opportunities to consolidate this new way of walking.

Session 2 would provide an opportunity to review progress and discuss how the techniques can be further refined based on the progress so far and the specific challenges for that dog.

For some dogs, a third session to review progress and provide focus to ongoing training may be required.

This package is for those owners whose dogs have an unreliable or non-existent recall and wish to place a specific focus on strategies they can employ to build a more consistently reliable and stronger response.

This could be an adolescent dog with a new found sense of confidence and adventure whose recall has become poor. Or it could be an adult dog whose recall was never good or has gradually deteriorated over time.

The package comprises 2 training sessions.

The first would include an initial assessment to understand the extent of the problem and demonstration of exercises that can be undertaken and strategies to employ when out walking.

The second session would review progress and refine or modify the approach as needed.

The training sessions would be undertaken both inside the home (to teach and practise new behaviours) and outside, maybe in the local park (to practise implementation of the strategies in a more stimulating environment).

For some dogs, a third session to review progress and provide focus for ongoing training may be required.
