I am very pleased with the overall effect. The job was fairly priced and the guys worked speedily. My only complaint is that there were quite a lot of tar splashes on the white uPVC front door. I contacted the firm about this to find out how to remove them. I was told by Peter (?) that he would call by and remove them, but to date he has not and I still do not know how to remove them. The finish of our gravel drive was top quality, I couldn’t fault anything with it! The guys fitting the driveway were all very friendly and flexible if there were any changes to the original plans (finding a hidden drain cover that had been covered under soil for 20 plus years and installing a new high quality replacement).
The price payed was very good for such a great finish.

I recently had my driveway resurfaced with tar and chip by Pete at sds surfacing and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the process was seamless, and the final product exceeded my expectations.

It was good , obviously they're busy , but they came out and assessed the problems , found some that I wasn't aware of , gave me a quote and proceeded to repair everything . They're easy to work with and explain what they're doing when asked .

Communication was good throughout with Peter and a full explanation was given with regards to the process involved. Also very prompt with arrival times

Well, they started off well, good price, written quotation. They even offered to clear a load of garden waste to get the job started next day! We paid a third deposit, they turned up, then the excuses started. The 2 day job turned into 4, but we were going to be away for the finish.
We have a security camera, and we were watching them while we were away. Instead of getting on with our job (which they insisted we pay the balance for before we went away), we watched them (and heard them) negotiating to do our neighbour's driveway! Better still, they gave her a price 2/3rds lower than they were charging us, AND ASKED HER NOT TO TELL US WHAT SHE PAID! Even richer, we watched them shovelling stones off of our drive to do theirs!
We got home, and the first thing we saw was that weeds are coming up through our new driveway. Oh, and they left a pile of stones as a delightful trip hazard.
With hindsight, I wish we'd never used them. If YOU use them, divide whatever they quote by 3, AND DON'T PAY IN FULL UNTIL THEY'RE FINISHED, AND YOU'RE SATISFIED. More...
