I Derek a job o months and I still waiting for him to finish he has asked for more money but still hasn't finished the job, so please don't trust this man all he does is lie

Just had the lads do a power flush, excellent job, living room radiator don't think this has worked for years, even after the power flush they still weren't satisfied and kept working at it, now fully functional, , definetly recommend would use again,thanks guys for a great job.

Derek just completed a gas safety inspection on my property prior to selling it.. All done quickly at a very good price. This is the second job Derek has done for us - he replaced an old boiler about 18 months ago, fitting new TRVs and converting to a combi boiler. Great service, fantastic price and just got on with it when the job turned out to be much bigger than expected. Now have a fully functioning boiler with nest thermostat and new hot water cylinder to replace old, leaking and dangerous one. Would highly recommend.

Derek was a true professional! After months and 6 visits homeserve engineer diagnosing came though that the system need a power flush which was not covered under my plan. Dereks price for the flush wss less than half of wjat homeserve was going to charge me. Booked 'Scottish Energy solutions' to carry out a power flush on system. Derek turned on time and on correct date (may not sound like a big thing but after 6 visits from another company that some times didnt even turn for appointments this is a big thing for me!). Once Derek was was in the house, i explained why i had booked the power flush as which point Derek asked if he could take a look at the fault radiator. Any long story short Derek actually found the fault and replaced pipe that was blocked and didnt need to carry out the power flush. Thus cost only half the price of what a powerflush, not very often you see this type of honesty from a trades man! He even went in to tell me how to add inhibitor to the system again saving me more money! 5 star service!! More...

Derek was brilliant, could pretty much diagnose the problem I was having with my central heating over the phone - 2 British Gas engineers had spent hours trying to work it out and wanted to charge me a fortune for a stab in the dark power flush. In a nutshell Scottish Energy Solutions got the job done (system flush and install new combi boiler) before I’d even received the quotation from British Gas (which was ridiculous in comparison!). I contacted Scottish Energy Solutions a week before Christmas to arrange a complete replacement of my boiler with a power flush and Derek was very friendly and helpful when it came to choosing which product to go for. He arrived as agreed and completed all the work in just a little over 5 hours, even hoovering up after himself and clearing away all the rubbish. Also, Derek spent time explaining the new system to me as well as the Nest Thermostat I chose and was very professional and helpful. My boiler decided to die a week before Christmas - numerous phone calls established that most of the local heating engineers in Fife were on long seasonal breaks so, moving further afield, I contacted Derek and asked for a quote.

Derek agreed a time for a visit to survey and quote and arrived on time. His quote was £700 less than the only other company I could get to quote at short notice.

I accepted his quote and agreed an installation date for the new boiler - we also agreed to change from a "traditional" system to a combi boiler; Derek would arranage for the old hot water tank and associated plumbing to be removed or secured.

John and his team arrived on time and carried out the work with the absolute minimum of disruption - the job took two days, and was done to my entire satisfaction, with one reservation - a wee problem with the control box. When I told Derek about this, he arrnged for John to visit the same day (about 10 minutes ago!) - we're now sorting out the solution.

So - yes - I'm very pleased with the service and the cost - just one minor problem, but that's being fixed even now. More...

Derek came out to inspect our boiler with a suspected broken heat exchanger the day after we called him. He provided sound advice to help confirm if the heat exchanger is the problem, and may have saved us hundreds of pounds as we had been advised by others that replacing the boiler was the best option.

Reliable, quick and friendly.

Having had our boiler pack up in the middle of January, we had a visit within 48 hours to assess the damage and our needs (note that this was provided outside of 9-5 hours to allow me not to miss work).

The appointment date (3 working days from the visit), and cost was then agreed there and then with no fuss or pressure for me to buy more than I would need.

My fitter was friendly and polite, and happy to accommodate all questions (and my inquisitive pup). No mess was left behind and no damage (more than the couple of tiles needing removed) was caused.

Constant contact was available at all times, I would highly recommend.

Note - I am still waiting on 3 large firms to get back to me with the possibility of an appointment in the time it has taken for me to inquire and have my boiler fitted by the guys. More...
