I was lost trying to train my young dog Teddy as he was so nervous especially in public areas. Lee identified the problems and gave me lots of reassurance on my first lesson. Teddys response was amazing and my confidence improved by the minute. Lee's calm teaching is so helpful and I look forward to our next lesson. More...

First heard of School of Dogs when they were running a Agility course at Auckland Park, Bishop Auckland. Looked them up on line & thought I'll take Max my cockapoo. He loves playing with the ball however doesn't like to give it up. Lee was great, has seen this before with other dogs. He gave us some training to do & we've been back for our 2nd visit & Lee was pleased with Max. I would highly recommend School of Dogs, Lee is very knowledgeable, helpful & friendly. Hello most people who have attended any classes Pip and I have been to or a class before or after will have heard her screaming and barking at some point. Pip and I are on a long road to make Pip 'normal'. Pip suffers with severe anxiety to the point she is now medicated to take the edge off. She has many challenges and recently we have started making some progress. Where am I going with this you may ask. I want to let you all know how lucky you are to have Lee and his classes. I have recently been to a few other classes to socialise Pippa which for me are closer to home and people have asked why do you go all that way to Stanley and not just go local. I'll tell you why. One class said Pip was just a naughty dog that hadn't been told right from wrong. (wrong). Another class only today told me that when Pip barks I should jerk her lead and shout 'no' firmly' (wrong). Another class didn't want the 'problem' (wrong). The dogs I have found in some of these classes appear frightened, not confident and some highly stressed and are being forced to do things that are really scaring them. In Lee's classes I feel and have seen dogs come out of themselves and get more confident including Pip now. The club is laid back and dogs and owners can learn at their own pace. The only negative for me is travel but if it helps Pip its worth it. Sorry for the long post but had to say it. Enjoy your dogs and remember training using fear never builds a partnership More...

We've just had our first 121 session with Lee and our very reactive Belgian shepherd rescue puppy. What an amazing man Lee is! In 90 minutes we were able to tell her to sit, lie down, 'watch', come in, walk to heel and all with fantastic results. More work required on her fear of strangers and her inability to know how to play properly but 2 more 121 sessions are already booked for next week. We are now looking forward to the future ☺ thank you Lee!! More...

Just finished our first 6 weeks of beginners agility with School for Dogs and could not recommend it more highly! Lee is incredibly knowledgable about dogs and takes the time to get to know each one. Lee has been especially helpful with my cockapoo Cooper who developed a fear of the jumps and gave me every piece of advice possible (mainly not to give up!!) to help get him jumping again which he now does with confidence and ease! The sessions are fun and enjoyable whilst still receiving excellent instruction. We will most definitely be continuing with agility sessions, thanks Lee! More...

Just got back from a one to one session with Lee and my dog Ace. Friendly atmosphere right from the start that put us straight at ease.
I was becoming stressed with Ace's antics of running off to play with other dogs, which could become quite rough and stressful to the other dog, (and me!) and not listening to me when he chose to do so. Today I have learnt to read my dogs body language and learnt how to react to his actions. I could see a difference in him within the hour, and we ended our session with two collies running circuits around us, while we happily stood with ace's focus on me. I am feeling more positive and will continue Lee's training back at home. I am very greatful for your help, thank you and see you at agility! :)

The transformation in Abby from our first 1-2-1 to now is incredible. Classes are fun and informative and cater for all types/sizes of dog, Abby and me have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the course and can’t wait to start Puppy Agility. I took Shadow, my 4 month old Chihuahua, to School of Dogs’ puppy classes after seeing the positive reviews and receiving a recommendation from another Chihuahua owner. I was a little apprehensive about how Shadow would get on as he is extremely shy and timid - my main reasons for taking him to the classes were for socialisation but we ended up learning so much in our time with Lee. Despite shadows extremely shy nature, we were made to feel really welcome and encouraged to give every thing a go. Shadow was always too nervous to take a treat during classes but I gained confidence in my ability to train him and everything I learned from Lee I put to use at home. Shadow can now sit, stay, lie down, give paw, beg and heel. By meeting the other dogs he has grown in confidence so much and he is absolutley fantastic with other dogs now even those much bigger than him (which is practically all of them).

I cannot recommend School of Dogs enough! If you are a small dog owner and not sure if this is for you please get in touch with Lee he will put you at ease and find the best class for you. You will end up with one very well trained and well socialised puppy.

Had Lee work one to one with Sam my 9month old goldendoodle To Help with his pulling on the lead. He's a powerful boy and needed to be trained as it was getting dangerous. I'm on crutches at present and have to rely on friends walking him and he's just been a nightmare pulling them over onto the ground. All I wanted was for him to walk normally without pulling.

Lee had him walking on lead perfectly in the hour and I even got to walk him with my crutch.. I can't thank him enough.

Now it's up to us with perseverence.

Would reccomend Lee for all your training needs.
