Hi , I would just like to say how thrilled I was with Heathers prompt response to my request for washing and clipping my two Spaniels I sent out an SOS and Heather turned up the same evening how amazing was that, Heather and Alison soon had my two girls washed clipped and dry in no time and both dogs enjoyed all the treats and cuddles etc , you are both amazing and I would highly recommend you to anyone looking for dog groomers , A big Thankyou to you Heather you were my saviour .

My spaniel had never been to a groomer before and I was unsure how he would react as he can be quite anxious, but Heather was great with him and he was happy and amenable.
She spent two hours detangling, thinning out his coat and ears and clipping his feet and he looked fantastic when I picked him up, and so much cooler for him in the hot weather but of course being a spaniel it didn’t take long before he looked like a hedge again!

This was Ollies 1st visit and I was a little unsure as he is not the easiest Cocker spaniel to deal with two other previous groomers have been unable to trim his back legs or cut his nails and one even refused to have him back . Heather did a marvellous job on Ollie and he is now walking around our other dogs as if he is the king pin. Heather & Teressa arrived on the 30/12/22 to give our cocker spaniel (Sweep) her first grooming by Scallywags. Sweep had previously been groomed at a grooming salon and had become anxious about going, as were we. So we wanted somebody who would visit and groom her at home. From the moment they arrived they were brilliant, taking their time and winning her confidence before moving onto the grooming. Yesterday we met Heather a new groomer, my gizmo is a very hard dog too groom and this lady did everything in her power to calm and easy his anxiety she did a fantastic job even done things no other groomer have been able to do like his face properly and nails can't sing her praises enough amazing work will definitely be booking her again, 😀 Joyce (rita) lol

What do you love most about your job?
I love that what I do makes dogs more comfortable. They so enjoy a bit of a pamper and it’s great to see them blossom
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have five dogs and work commitments prevented me from grooming them tho I’d groomed for years I accompanied a friend collecting her girls after a groom. She was told that it would be her last groom as the groomer was moving. Fed up with looking for a groomer who could fit us in I decided to train and open my business. Now our girls and boys are regularly pampered and we’re rovidingba much needelocal resource
Why should our clients choose you?
We’re all about your dog! We do what we do because the health and welfare and happiness of our canine chums are very important to us. I’m no spring chicken but it’s the first time I’ve really enjoyed working

Sadly dog grooming is very hands on so the dog needs to come to us. If it’s an issue we’re happy to collect
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We meet you at our door and take your dog from you removing risk of contamination
All equipment used is cleaned and sterilised between clients
Dog wash and Drying
We assess your dogs needs and use appropriate shampoo and conditioner and fully dry the coat with a towel followed by a high velocity warm air dry
Dog grooming
Full groom as required appropriate to your dogs breed, which includes a bath and towel dry, followed by a powerful high velocity warm air dry , clipping-and trimming of the coat with hand scissors, basic paw maintenance, a fresh fragrance and a five point health check
Ear cleaning
We clean your dogs ears using a cleansing solution. This softens any gunge enabling us to remove it with a moist wipe or cotton wool balls. We remove excess hair to reduce the risk of the ingress of grass seeds which can cause a lot of suffering, both for the dog and your wallet! Note we do not venture beyond the easily accessible outer ear area, we leave that to your veterinary surgeon
Paw Pampering and Claw Trimming
We clip the hair around the pads to reduce the risk of the ingress of grass seeds and trim claws with nail clippers although we prefer to grind the nails if your dog will tolerate it. To finish we apply coconut oil to the claws to seal the ends and use a paw balm on the pads to nourish them
Please note we do not currently offer nail trimming as a standalone service
Hand Stripping
We hand strip double coated dogs so as not to damage the waterproof outer coat which clipping would do, and removes the softer inner coatThis benefits the dog and leaves them looking a lot better giving the coat a fresh look
Knots, Tangles and matting
We’re very patient and are happy to take on the challenge of detangling, deknotting and dematting your dogs coat. We use a range of hand tools to remove knots, tangles and matted hair. We need to see your dog before we can quote for this service
Sonic Teeth Cleaning
A visual check will determine your dogs needs and we use a sonic brush and toothpaste cleaning method which will remove plaque build up on the teeth, leaving your dog’s mouth smelling fresher and feeling more comfortable
Having your dogs teeth cleaned will have huge health benefits, not only will it remove plaque and improve breath, it will prevent toxins entering the bloodstream causing damage to the heart and other organs
Note: your dog may need a number of treatments to remove plaque build up
MOBILE IN YOUR HOME SERVICE
Please note when I come to you I groom your dog in the comfort of his or her home
I do not use a van.
This is extremely popular, it not only saves You time but it’s far less stressful for any dog particularly nervous or anxious dogs or those having their first groom
