I am a qualified counsellor, who would be really pleased to hear from you. I offer face to face sessions at a couple of locations in the Staffordshire Moorlands and offer online or telephone counselling too. If you'd rather walk and chat we can do that too.

What do you love most about your job?
I love helping people overcome their issues.
One client described the journey as being in a murky swimming pool - at first the water was up to their chin and they were away from the steps. Over the sessions they said they understood why they were almost out of their depth and were able to find the steps and gradually climb up, one step at a time. Rather than looking down they were looking up to the sky and the sun and were able to climb up and down the steps into the now clear water as they wished. Seeing this client (and others) grow in self esteem and confidence and to leave feeling happier and optimistic is what I really love about this job.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was a senior manager in a blue chip company managing a reasonably large team. We were fortunate to have an employee counselling service available. Whilst referral to this organisation was entirely confidential a couple of my team, experiencing hugely traumatic events in their personal life, shared that they were having this counselling. The improvement in these people's mental health was amazing. It made me convinced that I wanted to be able to help people in that way too. I therefore left my job and took the qualifications to enable me to offer my own counselling service.
Why should our clients choose you?
It is really important to choose a counsellor that you think you will get on with. Research shows that it is one of the most important factors in gaining maximum benefit from the sessions. I therefore offer a free 30 minute session so that you can decide if I am the right therapist for you. Please get in touch.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
I offer counselling, face to face, while we walk, on line (via zoom) or by telephone in addition to face to face. Whichever suits you the best is fine by me.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
It is good to see the COVID restrictions relaxing, however if you feel nervous and would like me to wear a mask or move further away from you please ask. I want you to be comfortable.
Counselling and therapy to individuals and couples
I offer non judgemental, totally confidential, face to face, telephone or online therapy and see clients 16 years old and above.
We work together to help you gain an insight into why you react as you do - and to help you to change the things you want to change. Sometimes we may also work on tools and techniques to help you to achieve what you want. The sessions can be challenging as you decide to share your innermost thoughts - but are always driven by you and go at your pace. Please get in touch for a free 30 minute consultation if you want more information.
