Weddings
A person's wedding day is unquestionably one of the biggest days of their lives; naturally they want to enjoy it - not spend the day being told what to do by the photographer!
By adopting a relaxed reportage approach I am able to effortlessly capture both the 'must have' and informal shots.
I don't boss people around -I work with them in an unobtrusive manner so they can enjoy the day.

I cover all sorts of events from corporate team-building days through to surprise parties and family gatherings.
Conferences
Harrogate is a conference town and over the years I've covered a wide variety. Work includes photographing the main speakers, the concurrent sessions and the trade and exhibition halls.
I cover conferences throughout the UK.
Shows and Festivals
Over the years I've covered a wide range of large public-facing shows and festivals, usually as the official photographer.
For instance, in the last twelve months I've been the official photographer at the Harrogate Spring and Autumn Flower Shows, the BBC Good Food Show, the Cake and Bake Show, the WI Centennial Fair, the British Craft Trade Fair and the Home Grown Food Festival.
Public Relations/PR
With a background in press and editorial photography I understand how to work to a brief and get pictures that 'tell the story.'
The requirements of most PR assignments are very similar, get an eye-catching image that conveys the desired message!
School and Education Photography
One of my specialisms is prospectus and web site photography - providing engaging and eye-catching images that convey the life of a school or college.
I've worked with all age groups from nursery through to university in both the public and private sector.
