Rushcliffe Golf Club

Joined last year and has been a great 1st year at Rushcliffe. Course is always in the best condition it can be in. Greens over the summer were unbelievable. Had no hesitation in bringing guests to opens or to play a social round. Management and Members have been very welcoming. Played here in a Society match on Friday with an afternoon tee time. We were supplied with tea/coffee and a bacon or sausage roll before we started. The clubhouse is situated at the highest point on the course commanding fantastic views over the surrounding countryside. Not only were the club hosting two visiting golf societies that day, there was also a large gathering of people present attending a British Heart Foundation meeting. The catering staff were very friendly and welcoming, as were various members of the club we encountered on the course. The course was in excellent condition with very quick greens. The first nine include a few sloping fairways as they move down to the lower parts of the course. If you are mobility impaired they do have buggies you can hire which some of our society opted for. Best to ring ahead to reserve buggies because they may be in demand especially on busy days. A beautiful, well maintained course with some excellent views. Well worth a visit. Chris Hall the resident Professional at the club has been with this club since leaving Bulwell Forest Golf Club. Chris is smashing chap who is an asset to any golf club. More...

Came up for the Carvery, had three corses was fantastic got a flyer regarding a free desert, turns out it was the table not just 1 person, this was brilliant fantastic idea, service was brilliant, lovely atmosphere can’t fault anything! Group of us played on Sunday, as non members we paid £20 for green fees then receive a meal afterwords. We were expecting a sandwich as most other clubs, do but got given a special menu to choose from. 4 Cheeseburgers chips and salad was our choice food & service was good. Myself my wife and my little boy went today for Sunday dinner having recently won a two course meal for two in a local raffle. The service and food were excellent and despite not being part of the golfing community, we were all made very welcome and my little boy was fussed by staff and management. Played here for the first time today as I’ve recently moved to the area and I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a membership somewhere in the coming months. I have to say, this is the best course I’ve ever played and I will categorically be getting a membership here in the new year. Prior to booking a round here, I’d heard negative things about this course, such as that it’s snobby/clicky, but please believe me, that couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, it’s the friendliest course I’ve ever played. Ended up joining a 3 ball, 3 really nice people and then in the clubhouse, super friendly nice guys as well. And the course itself is phenomenal, really challenging, you can’t actually see a lot of the greens until you are less than 50 yards away from the pin. The greens are pristine and varied, the tees are literally immaculate. I honestly have nothing but positive things to say about this place and I look forward to playing here regularly in the future!! A delightful little gem of a course hidden away in the folds and wolds of the Nottinghamshire countryside. Not very flat but an extremely well laid out course with well manicured but testing greens. Having played this golf course for the first time yesterday I had to sit and write a review.... as a number of other reviewers have mentioned no two holes played the same. There were a number of holes on this course that would be fabulous signature holes anywhere. We booked this through the GolfNow app and found it great value for money and will definitely return soon.
