Oh my goodness I’ve been looking for years for a pie without onions. A lovely lady called today after I emailed this afternoon I went and pick up 2 steak pies. We had for dinner today oh my word absolutely delicious I’ve not been excited about food for a few years. I’ve decided I’m going to be getting pies from this amazing company at least once a week. Thanks rural pie Co 😋😋😋 More...

Great selection, friendly staff and good use of local produce.
Whenever I'm in Twyford I swing by to pick up a few pies of dinner.
We've been going here for months and the quality is always excellent.

First visit here for Saturday lunch and very homely feel with 2 rooms for dining. lighting in the restaurant is unique with different designed lights and a nod to their association with beer, in the form of the used beer cans from the local breweries repurposed as candles with a vanilla scent, airwick eat your heart out. Other things were unique digital drawings hung up and crotchet soft animals, all or sale. Well onto the pies, we had a choice and opted for a chilli beef cheese and a steak pie. Lunch is a smaller affair with seasonal veg as the side. the pies are warmed to order and what strike you is a beautiful golden pie with crisp pastry shortcrust rather then a puff pastry achieved omitting lard. but the magic is cutting into the pie, the solidity if the chilli cheese pie and how the steak pie when cut welcomes you the beautiful steak and gravy cooked to perfection. visually appealing the taste elevates these pies to something special. the chilli beef with its slight after kick of heat is just right not to overpower. am sure you could concoct a pie with much more heat and pair it with a beer. the steak pie was so tasty proper chunks of meat no nasty bits and you will savour every bite. verdict you will return! Had a fantastic evening pie meal + beers previously, and today tried the Full English breakfast - definitely recommend, very tasty and made me feel almost good about it knowing that it was cooked more healthily than most places! Great job, Rural Piesters! ;)
