First visit to North Weald today, absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful food and fantastic being able to watch all the little planes taking off and landing. Already planning our next visit 😍

The Wickham hall branch has the potential to be such a great place but sadly I think some staff training is in desperate need.
Although there’s plenty of them , they’re all really young & seem to be at a loss at what to do. Mostly just wandering about looking confused.
Big queue of people waiting although there were tons of empty tables.
We gave our order & 30 minutes later no sign of it , so we asked. We had moved tables but told the same server immediately, but we were told our order hadn’t been put through. We decided to leave. Whilst there I observed at least 3 other people asking to place orders or asking where their order was.
Just needs some proper organisation.

Don’t bother coming to the North Weald venue today. Been here for one and three quarter hours. Food only just arriving. When it did arrive, bread was stale!! It may be Father’s Day and the cafe may be busier than usual but this is farcical! More...

Lovely visit this afternoon to The Squadron with my Dad who lives with dementia, the staff were very friendly, we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves watching the aircraft whilst we enjoyed a lovely lunch together.

When to the squadron rosey lea today on my birthday where we waited for 40 mins to then ask where our food was for them to say there’s been a error with the computers! When they forgot about us. Then waited another 20 mins to have my food turn up with a hair on my plate, was very disappointed as was looking forward to trying the cafe out. Didn’t even get a apology. More...

Great visit to The Squadron this morning! Airfield staff were helpful, provided a map and we saw several aircraft along the way. Staff inside were warm and polite, menu is vast - food was delicious. I took my aunt and sister here for a birthday brunch. Myself and my aunt arrived before my sister, who had bought her a box of cupcakes for her to share with her children later on in the day. We entered and waited to be seated. A member of staff took one look and without prior greeting immediately stated that she hoped we wouldn't be consuming those inside. We assured her that of course we would not do such a thing and explained they were a birthday gift. When seated we ordered tea which was lovely. Once my sister arrived we ordered food and drink which was average at best. Upon leaving I saw there was fruit dropped onto the floor and other debris. As people who have worked within the service industry our whole lives, we were slightly disappointed, but decided to be polite and tip the staff anyway. The two younger members of staff were absolutely lovely and polite. It was a shame as it was my first time leaving the house since Christmas due to chronic illness, along with my aunt who is receiving chemotherapy and hoped it would of been a more welcoming experience. Disappointing cooked breakfasts. Sausages were very over cooked to the point of being burnt! Also a bacon and egg sandwich arrived as an egg Mayo and bacon sandwich with salad bits! Sadly, felt the need to complain and they adjusted the bill slightly and replaced the egg Mayo sandwich for the sandwich expected. Unfortunately, all a bit too late and gone off the idea completely. Surely they should be doing their own quality assurance and not relying on a customer having to complain? Won’t be going back, sorry! More...
