What do you love most about your job?
I love helping learners, one-to,one, to realise their potential and gain enjoyment from their studies.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always worked for myself in addition to mainstream teaching. In Jamaica, from 1986 to 2003 , I had a small business which grew to a private prep school with adult literacy provision. Here I developed skills and techniques in my major subject areas of English and reading. Since then, my second career in Health and Social care has given me insight into ever widening areas of educational need and my skills are constantly up-dated. I find Sociology, my second main subject, to be increasingly relevant and empowering in today's world.

Clients chose me for my energy, personal interest and non-judgemental approach, They find the efforts I make to bring their studies up to date invgorating and they enjoy the holistic challenge of open-minded learning.

I prefer to deliver on-line because I know that everyone is under a lot of pressure these days. On-line learning gives us the chance to keep days, times and lesson lengths flexible. It also enables me to meet a wider range of student than I could if we needed to be in travelling distance. On-line also facilitates the delivery of "crash courses" offered to meet an urgent deadline.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
On-line allows everyone to make their own optimum choices for covid safety.

I have experience in assisting students with long essays and dissertations in all pre-teaching studies at BA, MA. M Phil and PhD levels. My students have gone on to great careers

At primary level and beyond and into Adult Literacy, I have experience and skill in selecting and developing techniques that take the hesitant learner to mastery of the basic literacy skills required at their level.My methods ensure that confidence is boosted and creativity is valued.
Sociology with philosophy or psychology
I enjoy debate and exchange of knowledge. Modern syllabi and on-line past papers refer to a multi-plex of reading and cross analysis. I enjoy assisting student to untangle the relevant information and to relay it in well-ordered answers that reflect their experience and interests. In this way I enhance learning and prepare my students for the best exam results of which they are capable.
