Michael and Paul are fantastic, we have now one more room added to the house which is something we have wanted for a long time, they left us a room ready to use.
The only down, the radiator they installed ,from day 1 haven't worked properly, not sure if their fault or because adding more radiators to the house can cause problems, but I would appreciated some warnings about it, as my expectations were high on this matter, so I got disappointed.
Apart from this, very happy.
I would liked to have more planning as I didn't and I could've had more saying regarding materials used but that was on me really, they delivered well, and always reachable so that was a plus.
The job lasted more that they said, but I think this is what builders do, so I took it for granted.

Michael has been brilliant from the start - really patient with us and incredibly accommodating and flexible. He worked with us on budget, design and timings and we’re really impressed with his workmanship. Good communication and gone over and above to help us achieve our desired goal. Avoid these guys like the plague.
Firstly, double-check everything they tell you with your council and building control (e. g., they attempted to connect my drainage to rainwater waste and assured me it was okay, fortunately, they could not locate pipes).

Secondly, they initially quoted for Celotex insulation, but without any prior communication, they started using Rockwool under the flooring and quickly covered it with boards. Tried to assure me that it is not recommanded to use celotex for flooring insulation (you had to see face of building control inspector when I told this to him).

Thirdly, they breached all rules for building control. For example, after dismantling the flooring so that other builders could start over, we discovered that the DPM (Damp Proof Membrane) was not installed properly. It was in small pieces, did not reach the existing DPM level at all, and there were plenty of gaps between the pieces.

In the end, despite paying £2000 to these individuals, I had to pay other builders for a complete garage conversion, including the cost of fixing the work done by this team.

Lastly, they had no terms or policies for a complaint procedure. After about 8 weeks of lengthy negotiations and communication, they failed to provide any information about an alternative dispute resolution. Finally, Michael offered a partial refund, which I agreed to just to recover some costs, but he failed to follow his own agreed terms.

Regrettably, I am currently in the process of putting all the necessary evidence to pursue this matter in court. If you hold your time and finances, I strongly advise against using the services of this team. More...

I would like to say,and I hope people read the 5 star reviews we got,first off I took part off the concrete up to locate the drains to which at a metre deep could not locate them,we then discussed with the client that he would need a saniflo toilet.the floor had 1200 guage membrane down, lapping up to which I have pictures of for building control,once joists went down I infill with rockrool,I then informed the client due to the floor levels we could not put 75mm celotex in as this would bring the floor level to high to which he agreed and I discussed a thermal quilt to go on top the floor.on going forward we pointed out to the client that the roof structure wasn't sufficient to the way he wanted so at no cost to make safe we installed timbers and bolted them to make roof safe. At this point he was happy and electrician came in and he indicated where he wanted everything,at this point he was behind on payment schedule by 2 payments as indicated on the contract,but as being a trusting person I didn't say anything, then we worked again so I asked for stage payment to which his response was don't come back,I asked why and he said because you won't finish by 21st December,as I told him window would not be there till the 21st,this was also paid for by myself,he said walk away and we call it quits,I said I was already 2 payments down and have paid for a window,in the end I agreed,but then start off this year he said give me 2k back or I give bad review,we agreed in the end to save any hassle he would have 750 over 3 months just as a good will,I was taken into hospital and I'm still there,and as I am 2 days late sending money he has put this review but this happened the middle of December and it's taken until now for him to do a review because his bribing hasn't got him any money,I'm a respected and verified builder,I have asked for initial reports and information he has but at not got it

Michael and his team did a brilliant job for us. They have converted our garage into a beautiful office. The work was completed to a high standard, will recommend them and would definitely use again!!!

Michael and his team did a great garage conversion for me. They managed to match the stone work outside including the window sill and did some great work on the interior too.
