I have been learning with Robert for about 6 months now and my progress has been incredible, I have come from never picking up a guitar to playing multiple scales, many chords and rapidly building my repertoire. I have been learning guitar through fortnightly lessons with Robert for four months now, and can't believe the progress I've made. Robert offers a tailored service, so you will be learning the style of music you are interested in - which helps to maintain motivation. He is a patient teacher, and the focus is on *you* as a guitarist (he's definitely not one of those teachers who spends the lesson "showing off"). The lessons are never stressful, but full of useful advice as you develop your knowledge and techniques. Of course, you will only get the full benefit if you maintain a good practice schedule outside of lessons.I do not consider myself musical, and I've started these lessons in my mid-30s, but Robert has taught me some of the elements of rhythm and lead guitar, and I now feel confident enough to try and progress as far as I can (and I've found that learning a musical instrument with a good tutor is a great way to beat stress). Robert is an amazing teacher. I really look forward to my guitar lessons with him each fortnight. I have developed in confidence and skill over the years I have been learning and he makes learning the guitar easy and fun. Indeed, Robert is patient and explains things clearly and in an easy way to understand.He has an amazing knowledge of music and is always keen to tailor lessons to my interests. I've been taught guitar by Robert for a number of years and visits to his studio are highlights in my diary that I look forward to with glee. He's an excellent and patient teacher, more like a coach, in fact. He sets and adjusts the pace of learning to suit me. The challenge is always just right to develop my skills without getting frustrated.Robert is a highly skilled and talented musician, very knowledgeable and passionate about music. His joy in playing, and playing together with his students, is palpable and infectious.Robert is endlessly patient and calm.
