Personal Trainers

I finally decided that I needed help with losing weight and to try to get fit so I started looking for a Personal Trainer. I found the whole process of finding a PT very daunting, one as it was hard to admit I needed help and secondly to find someone that I felt comfortable with.
Rob replied to my enquiry straight away and right from the start he put me at ease. He is professional yet kind, patient and understanding. His warm personality, commitment and knowledge really help to keep me motivated.
My fitness level was zero when I started so Rob adapts and modifies exercises if I am struggling and then slowly builds them up. This gives me confidence in what I am doing and motivates me to want to keep trying. He is so encouraging and makes exercising fun.
12 months later, 28kg lighter I have gone from someone who never had any interest in training to someone who actually looks forward to our training sessions, enjoys what I am doing and want to do more. I do not think I would have achieved this without Rob’s guidance and help.

Personal Trainers

What a difference a year can make. I started 2021 feeling terrible on a physical and mental level, with much of that down to a lack of exercise. But the immediate rapport I built with Rob helped me break that cycle and I now look forward to every session. I'm now comfortable using most equipment in the gym and, thanks to Rob's varied training, I can test myself in new ways each week.

Rob is always there to chat and help throughout, providing reassurance, making amendments to posture and readily providing advice on things like nutrition so that exercise fits into a wider health programme. Our twice-weekly sessions are always hard work but great fun, and I fully recommend others take up Rob's services!

Rob has put the fun back into getting fit for me! I had become a little slack in keeping up programmes and found myself getting bored with the same routines but he has licked me back into shape especially focusing on those really difficult areas - hips and thighs - with a varied and personalised set that he changes regularly so I have to keep trying. This is really motivating and has made a huge difference to my commitment. He’s very good at ‘carrot and stick’ with just the right balance of praise, advice and hard-hitting truth. Rob has also provided a clear and easy nutrition plan that has helped enormously so I no longer snack but eat delicious food at the right times. Rob has really motivated me to set some challenging goals and I trust him to take me through the steps to get there - this has not only boosted my confidence but also added to my overall stamina so I am now much fitter, healthier and happier. A two fold approach; training and lifestyle.

Training is the catalyst for change, it's the physical process by which we get stronger and fitter. However, training alone is rarely going achieve success.

I believe understanding a clients needs is the key to creating meaningful change. Alongside training, I take time to understand a clients; lifestyle, work, diet, mindset and sleep. Then provide written recommendations and a plan of action on how to move forward.

Simple answer; working out and eating well.

In depth answer; using the needs based analyst from earlier we create healthy habits and a mindset that take you closer to your goals each day.

I love connecting with people, and using my knowledge and skillset to help make meaningful change in clients' lives.

When looking for a PT prospective clients should choose some who they feel is personable, trustworthy, knowledgable, able to listen and most importantly; someone they can get on with.

I believe I am that person, as I am already to so many. My experience, testimonials, and results from previous clients supports this.

I can, many of my clients live abroad or outside of London.

For the most part remote clients train virtually via; FaceTime, Skype, or Zoom.

Throughout the pandemic, whether outside in parks and gardens or inside at homes and PT studios, personal training had to change to maintain social distancing and therefore has become contact free. Meaning the manual adjustments I would usually make have become verbal cues.

Alongside social distancing, regular sanitisation of equipment between clients, hand sanitiser and face masks when necessary, I also cycle everywhere to avoid public transport.
