I opted for parking only for £20 as it seemed reasonable because I had my own food with me. Parking charges operate between 4pm and 8am but I arrived at 3pm and I needed to pay straight away as I'd been up since midnight and wanted to get my head down. I was charged and extra £5 for parking an hour early even though there were other wagons parked up and it's seemingly free before 4pm so I don't really understand that one. The parking voucher entitles you to £3 off so I went back in the morning to grab a coffee only to find it was only valid for an evening meal when I was asleep. Normally any truck stop or service area the voucher is valid for the duration of your visit be it evening or following morning. The yard is unpaved, muddy and full of potholes so be careful with your suspension and treading mud back into your cab when you get back in. The parking area was quiet overnight with no obvious intrusion from fridges. Cleanliness inside the restaurant and toilets was excellent. More...

dammed right I'd reccomend, it's a proper original transport cafe, excellent staff excellent food , and even from when I first went there with roy Bishop when 90% of wagons were ERF, when we was on littleover transport, the same lady served me the other day 33 years later, I reckon if you put an oil well on the truck park youd strike oil the amount the ERF used to leal out 5 star everytime
