Stayed here now on three occasions. The rooms are cosy and very clean. Bed super comfy and the shower is amazing. Coffee machine and biscuits and mints. Just had a wonderful one night stay at Riva. The standard of hospitality, room, food and drinks was fabulous, everything was thought of down to the last detail! Went for Christmas Day dinner and it was flawless, to be fair I've eaten here before and can't fault the food at all, but they'd clearly put the effort in to make the Christmas meal extra special; some of the dishes invluded items I don't normally like but my plate was empty for all 5 courses! I could forgive the staff/service being below par with it being Christmas Day but I can't even say that this was the case, there was plenty of servers and the service provided was exemplary by all. Booked a table outside and was such a disgrace we left without ordering. Rammed with people who were clearly not from area and a lot more people than seats. More than 20 people in outside area. Celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary COV19 style....We were expecting a good Italian meal but we were blown away by the overall experience tbh, Staff were top notch from entry each and everyone of them. ...a few unique personal ‘in house’ touches were very 💓 heartfelt and very much appreciated....Food was class great range, portion sizes and delicious! 2 Adults and a 9 year old 😘👌 Sharing platter, Mains, Desserts, Wine, Cocktail and Juices so I’d say we ‘Sampled’ quite a bit to give this review....Not cramped at all felt very comfortable even with Cov 19 rules in place!
