Cavity Wall Insulation
The cavity wall insulation we use is one of the best on the market, and that is a bonded bead sytem. We literally blow thousands of little polystyrene beads into the cavity wall and coat them with a fine mist of pva to bond the beads together, so if you have any alterations done to the property ln the future the beads will still be contained within the wall. 35% of heat loss in a property is lost through walls
Loft Insulation
Loft Insulation is a quick and easy home improvement, that can typically save heat loss by 25%
Most lofts can be insulated in only a few hours and will last the lifetime of the building
Cavity Wall Extractions
A cavity wall extraction is removing any old cavity wall insulation that might be causing damp issues. We use a boroscope to inspect the cavitys and see how well walls are insulated. A common problem we see is walls without enough insulation in, this causes the insulation to settle and cause voids within the materail. These voids become cold spots and over time damp patches will appear on internal walls.
A 3 bed semi detachaded house typiaclly takes 2 days to fully extract.
Loft Extractions
Loft extractions. This is removing loft insulation that has been blown into the loft space using our speicalits machinery. The lose blown insulation is sucked up from the loft and goes into a bagging system outside the property to keep any mess and dust to a minimum inside the house.
Cavity Clearance
A cavity clearance is removing any blockages inside the cavity wall space. Generally the blockages are rubble, waste building debris, sand and soil. Deppending on what blockages there are in the wall will deppend on how long the job takes, if it's just a build up of sand/soil then most houses can be cleared in a day. However when the blockages are building waste i.e bits of bricks, cement, concrete this is a more challenging job and will be charged on a day rate
Damp Specialists
Although we do offer remdial Damp-proofing using injection creams or damp check rods, we generally offer this as a last resort and like to find the cause of the problems, fix them and stop the damp coming back.
