I was a little anxious choosing a catering company I had not used before, or been recommended personally to me, for my brother-in-law's funeral wake. However, Ridgeway Catering had glowing online testimonials and now know they were entirely justified. Your quick response to my email enquiry and telephone messages plus your flexible approach with our changes/additions to your set finger buffet option convinced us to choose you. The food was delicious, well presented and the waiting staff were excellent. The waiting staff looked very young, but were not inexperienced, they were professional, helpful and efficient throughout, kept everything tidy and left the kitchen spotless. So glad we made the decision to have tea and coffee served on arrival as it was very busy and lovely to have china cups and not plastic ones.It was a really sad day, but knowing the refreshments were all sorted and none of our family had to worry about this, made a huge difference to us. We used this company for our wedding in March 2018. We had the Carribean BBQ buffet to feed 230 people. Everybody absolutely loved the food & there was plenty. My husband's family are from the Carribean and commented how authentic it tasted.Karen and the team couldnt have been more helpful throughout the whole process. She even offered to make burgers separately for the children which I thought was lovely. I researched lots of companies for the wedding and Karen was the one to always reply. She offered a tasting before hand and was able to add on extra desserts at the last minute.On the day, all the wait staff were polite, professional and smartly dressed. Ridgeway Catering Company catered for our wedding of 170 guests in July. Karen was exceptionally helpful throughout the whole process. She was able to provide a meeting at the venue, which included a fabulous tasting. As we got closer to the wedding day, Karen was quick to respond to my final questions and clarified any smaller details. On the day, the food was gorgeous, hot and well presented. The staff all worked so hard in the blistering heat and were happy to help whenever they could. The canapés and main course were delicious and all our guests were so happy. Ridgeway Catering provided a wonderful buffet for our big 80th Anniversary event, held on July 7th 2018. Although we started off asking for 200 covers this number changed many times over the next few months. Karen never complained or suggested we were being a nuisance. Always happy to adjust her figures, even up to the last minute. We ended up having 350 covers, so almost double our original booking. Karen and her team arrived at exactly the right time, set up all the platters of food with easy access and a variety on each table. The ladies were so professional that I just stood back and watched them create a masterpiece. They left plenty of spare platters, and the wonderful cakes, in the fridge so I could replenish as and when needed. There was a huge range of different items to cater for every taste. Thank you for the wonderful BBQ for my sons 21st birthday party. The food was served to 120 guests quickly and piping hot. The food was delicious and everyone commented on how tasty it was. Ridgeway Catering provided food for my sisters wedding, held at her own home. Karen was so helpful, and her 2 staff served drinks and tidied around in the house, changed bin bags, making tea and catering to individual needs. The food was lovely: gorgeous chicken kebabs, and burgers, homemade coleslaw and the vegetarian option was really delicious. I was trying to find a caterer for my Mum's funeral reception and I was on a limited budget. I found Ridgeway via Google and I am so pleased that I went with this fantastic company. Varied menus which can be tailored to your own needs and wishes, highly competitive prices, and friendly, professional service made them a pleasure to deal with especially at this very hard time. They even did a separate plate for my niece who has numerous allergies. As a vegetarian, it is usually very difficult to find tasty buffet food but Ridgeway totally rose to the occasion in every way. I would absolutely recommend them for any occasion not just for the wonderful food, but for the service provided on the day and their swift and helpful responses to all my queries beforehand. The Ridgeway Catering Company provided the food for my husband's Birthday Party just recently. We chose the "lay and leave" service" and were more than happy to see the fantastic spread that had been put out by them on our return to the venue just prior to the Party. The Buffet table was practically heaving with food and all of it was displayed on black- laquered trays which gave a sophisticated yet appealing look to the food. There were sandwiches & wraps; selection of pizzas; roasted vegetable Bruschetta; Smoked Salmon Blinis; Mini Yorkshire puddings filled with beef & horseradish sauce;Mini Indian Selection with mango and raita dips; Mini Thai Selection with chilli dip; and Chicken drumsticks. Dessert consisted of mini cheesecakes; mini bread & butter puddings and mini black forest gateaux (all just bite size). Our guests were over the moon and feasted well all evening long.
