How it all started…

Hi and welcome! My name is Rick Sharma and I am the creator and founder of Rick Sharma Fitness (RSF). I have over 7 years of experience working as a personal trainer within many local gyms and leisure centres. Over the years, I have had the great privilege of helping so many people to achieve their fitness goals, whether that be in person or online.

I’ve had 1 hour sessions, twice a week for 15 weeks with Rick.
The sessions have comprised a combination of cardio, strength and kickboxing, which I loved.
Rick has always remained professional and focused throughout our sessions, motivating me and pushing me to achieve better and a higher level of fitness which I didn’t think I could achieve.
Rick also makes it fun and changes things around which makes it interesting.
I have loved the training we did and hope to continue in the future.

Ricky makes exercise enjoyable, I look forward to our sessions instead of dreading them as I originally thought I would. I love that no two sessions are the same and each session always has variety. Ricky pushes me when he needs to, and always makes sure I get as much out of each session that I possibly can. He is very approachable, and is happy to answer any questions I have about diet/exercise at any time. I’m really happy with the progress I have made so far. Ricky is amazing PT he always pushed my limits and even though in my head I would give up before I started he never gave up on me. I look back at see how much I had actual met my goal and it would of been difficult to do without Ricky guidance. I’ve previously trained with PT’s but Ricks sessions definitely got me pushing myself and achieving great results. Would describe him as a very motivating, knowledgeable and professional individual. Rick was recommended to me by someone else! I was really impressed with the results that I saw so I joined myself. I’ve always struggled with going to the gym as I have never been able to motivate myself enough. Rick has been amazing at pushing me to work hard and has also helped me massively with my diet. My philosophy is simple, no two fitness journeys are the same. I take the time to both understand exactly what my clients specific goals are, and where they currently stand in terms of their fitness. I then develop and implement a personalised coaching plan based on this, focusing on specific areas that will allow them to realise their goals in a healthy and sustainable way.

I would be lying If I said that the journey to attaining the body of your dreams is a straight line. It takes a level of determination, and an unshakeable resolve to overcome the challenges that arise when making your dreams your reality! Speaking from personal experience, I would say the ‘secret’ is to embrace every aspect of the journey and never give up! Celebrate every win, no matter how big or small, and give yourself enough grace to prevail over the aspects that may not come as naturally.

I love being a part of a process where I get to watch my clients learn and adopt new mindsets in regards to fitness and wellbeing. I enjoy building sound professional relationships with my clients, celebrating their achievements, and providing support and guidance in overcoming any obstacles when reaching their goals. I feel honoured that I can pass on to the people I work with, the insights I have amassed through both studying and learning from my own fitness journey

I have drawn on the years of experience I have within the fitness industry, both in a professional and personal capacity to create a coaching service that is set apart from being just another rigid training regime. With time, I have reached the understanding that there is little to no benefit in a ‘one size fits all’ approach when it comes to a person reaching their goals. Weather you enjoy exercise, consider it completely daunting, or find yourself somewhere in-between, Rick Sharma Fitness has been designed with you in mind! As your coach I will meet you where you are, and together we will navigate the journey to you achieving what it is you are hoping to achieve!

I currently provide my coaching service both online and remotely. My clients have the option to access services online via (APP) which is an app where I provide unique login credentials, to allow clients to access and complete the specific workouts I have assigned for them to do. If a higher level of interaction is preferred, I also offer coaching sessions via videocall; meaning I am on hand to offer guidance and support in real time in an environment most suited to my client.
