As someone with a complex health condition, I was looking for a trainer who would be able to work with me long term, to manage, maintain and motivate me, in keeping my body strong and conditioned.
Rich has exceeded all of this.
I have surpassed all of my expectations medically; no longer requiring major surgery to stabilise my joints.
All of this is down to training twice weekly with Rich, who has consistently tailored and adapted my programme throughout and has inspired and supported me to achieve my goals.

Since lockdown I have been trying to keep active and not let turning 40 bring me down.

I started with some well known hiit workouts but I was missing that pressure that only comes with working with someone else. Luckily Richard sent a text as an old customer.

I remember from my time with him in the gym he managed to get me to do things I hadn't done for many years, pushing me without putting me at risk of injury. I wasn't sure it would work virtually but I was willing to give it a try.

The last two months have been great. I don't have to travel to the gym anymore, Richard manages to push me more than I ever pushed myself safe in the knowledge he will change a move if I tell him of any pain and always with a smile, but best of all it's all fitted around my schedule.

If you are losing self motivation working out at home then I recommend giving Richard a go. It's not easy and you won't like him for that 30 minutes but you'll appreciate it for the rest of the day!

Richard is a great motivational trainer. Before the pandemic, I was going to the gym at least twice a week and when lockdown started, Richard got his clients going via Zoom. So I haven't missed a lot of training and managed to avoid losing my progress during lockdown. I'd highly recommend Richard as a PT! After discussing the clients exercise history, nutritional and lifestyle habits. We can then identify realistic short and long term goals if not already in place, and a plan of action is agreed upon.

I then design a specific training plan based on the persons individual fitness requirements.

Progressive technical instruction is provided during exclusive 1-2-1 Personal Training sessions. These sessions will increase overall training efficency and provide valuble exercise and nutritional information for the client.

-Access to a ‘FREE’ 30min live
Zoom-bootcamp twice per week

-A completly ‘FREE’ consultation to potential clients...also includes a free ‘taster’session, in person or via zoom.

Although genetics clearly plays a role in the matter....There is no real secret....discipline is the key! As ‘will power’ can vary each day.

I wake up happy every day beacause I’m able to do what I love for a living. Knowing that I can make a genuinely positive impact on someones life through physical exercise is a great feeling. My job also also allows me the freedom and flexibility to comfortably manage my family and work life each day.

When my first child was born, I wanted to take more control of the direction in our life, and I decided to start my own business. So I set up Richard Carr Fitness, and didn’ look back.

First and foremost, I’m results driven, but I also feel that my genuine passion for my job, motivates and inspires my clients to be better today....than they was yesterday.
