Agreed a price of £130 to trim 2 small trees and tidy up the whole garden, get out all the dead leaves and weeds, I left him to it for 2 hours he said he’d done, all he had done was cut the trees and blew leaves around the garden, said he didn’t have time to do the rest so he wanted £100 for today and he’ll come back next week, paid him on good faith he would come back, 4 weeks have now passed by and he keeps fobbing me off saying he’s busy, I’ve ended up doing it myself, just wants to do the easy work not interested in doing any hard graft. Agreed to do work across 2 days on what is admittedly a messy garden, he took away a tree, a bush and pruned another tree on the first day and took over half of what we agreed to pay him for it agreeing we would organise another day for him to come back and finish the work.
Called him twice to organise a date/time for him to finish the garden and he kept kicking the can down the road asking me to call back later, the third time I tried calling back it went straight to voicemail and it has gone to voicemail every time since (tried a further 2 times, both went straight to voicemail), Riley has made no effort to contact me by phone, on here or by email to discuss further so I've opened a new request and am looking elsewhere.
It is a shame as Riley seemed like a nice, knowledgeable guy when he came to my house. If he didn't want to do it I wish he'd just said so rather than wasting my time.
