Ofsted commissions photographers to shoot outstanding providers – schools, work-based learning, colleges and, more rarely, social care settings – fairly regularly.

We started using Mick last year and what shone out immediately from his first shoots was his clear engagement in the work the settings were doing and his sensitivity towards the children and young people in those places.

His photographs completely capture the spirit and ethos of the places and people he’s photographed for us, ranging from special schools to training providers and a children’s home.

However, we were even more impressed by the feedback we received about him - even more so because we have never received any comments on other photographers:

"We really enjoyed showing him around – and I think that he enjoyed his time here too! Could you please pass onto Mick my thanks on behalf of everyone here for the professional way in which he went about his work!?
